Can someone tell me about grocery shops. What exactly do you do. I saw some where you can do grocery shops more than one time at the same store is that sure. What is the scenario of a grocery shop. What legitimate companies offer mostly grocery shops and pays on time?

Grocery stores are as varied as the store and the MSC. Every one is an entity into itself. Try applying for one of each (not all at the same time though) that are offered in your area, and see of you like any of them. I do lots of them as I always need groceries and need to shop for them anyway. But some I do are a lot of work, and some are nothings. I like the latter best, but that one is a 5 shop rotation here.

Some are offered through multiple MSCs at varied rates. In the Northwest we have Kroger shops that Pay $5.00 at one MSC and $27.00 at another shop. Same exact report and interactions required. The dates are always different, so I always choose the $27.00 version.

I also used to do national price checks. You get a barcode (UPC) specific list of items to covertly record the prices. When it was mainstream groceries they were okay. Lately they have switched to having a bunch of items that are not stocked in all stores or can easily be placed in an aisle that would not be a normal place for the item. Too much time involved to make it worth the hassle, unless you need exercise and want to put a few hours of cart pushing in a day.

And some recent ones I've see posted, when I last did them required you purchase 2 specified items that should spew particular coupons from the coupon printer. You then needed to do the report and mail in the receipts and coupons. Unfortunately the stuff I was required to purchase was useless to me, as was the shop because the fee was low. You live and learn.

I did that shop. Took 5 minutes and it paid $20. I would do it again. The store I had to visit is two blocks from home. The only negative about it was the two products I really wanted were not sold at the store.

Mine paid a whole heck of a lot less than that if I recall correctly.

The report was super easy..what line # were you in, transaction #, product UPC.

Vanster, you live in the Northwest? I do too. The Kroger company ones sure do vary don't they? The one thing that gets me about the $27 one is the time in and out of each department. Meats and seafood, 3:15. Bakery, 3:16. If no one is there, put down the time and come back and check again. I think you are supposed to get about 23 names and interactions. I got some do overs such as did employee meet your needs? I said yes, because they politely directed me to the item. I was told I should have put NO, because they did not WALK me to the item.

23 names and interactions in a grocery? That'd be a 10-mile pole for me! :-)

Good grief! I get to wait a specified number of minutes in a particular area browsing and then a specified number of minutes looking for help (we are generally less than 5 min in any area) before I can move on without an interaction, but aside from entry time and exit time there are no clock times to report. I am to note how long it took for service, but that is a choice of a few ranges rather than specific times. They do come up with some odd suggestions of questions to ask that to me scream SHOPPER!!! but their specified questions are not mandatory so I find ones that are more age and lifestyle appropriate. I cannot imagine any shop (other than some in depth hotel shops) looking for more than 10 names. Too many names is why the IKEA shops are such a 'don't touch'.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This is a large combined grocery/department store that also sells hardware, shoes, clothing, bedding, kitchen ware, etc. There is even a line for the "florist" department, which usually is an unattended little display of arrangements. If you have visited twice, and can verify your times that you did try say at 4:07, and 4:21, you are off the hook with the name if no one is there. But the ridiculous little "in and out" times for 23 different departments is so silly. Often there is only one or two employees for all of the "home" department, and they want that divided into paint, hardware, and home accessories/furnishings, hopefully with a different individual/interaction for each of those departments.

The grocery shops down here are sweet and usually are gone within twenty minutes of posting. There is no narrative, mostly multiple choice questions and involve a purchase from the Deli, as well as interactions in several departments. A different "Special Request" is required each month and you have to purchase it, if granted (which it usually is.)
The only problem I ever have with them is trying to figure out how to beat the other "guys/gals" to get them.

No narrative? ON a grocery? Wow. I must move to FL! I have never done a no narrative grocery. But I would LOVE to :-)

Yup, no narrative. There are grocery shops here that require them, but our major chain does not. Prior to April the company was almost like clockwork in posting the jobs but these days it seems to be if/when they get a round tuit. Very annoying.
