Anyone heard of this company. They say they only hire from within the hospitality industry, but that is my background and would love to do work for high end clients.

I have never heard of them and I checked a couple of resources and found no reference to them. But I did google them and came up with their website. A little investigation shows the domain name has been active since 2001, was last updated in 2008 and is due to expire in 2012. The contact phone number through domain registration does match the contact information shown on the website. I also note that the last update to the website (i.e. copyright date) is 2006 and I did a shop for the client shown on the front page of their website with a different company within the past 6-8 months.

What all of this tells me is that this is or was probably a legitimate company. Whether they are still active or not is anybody's guess. I would suggest that you go to their contact page, pick up the phone and give them a call. Just a little 'informational visit' to get to know each other. You will then be in a much better position to know if the company is live and kicking.

I have been to their websight many times, and I believe their story. I don't know if they pay on time, but you never hear professional MSers who get other high end jobs talking aobut them, so...they must hire people from the Hotel and Restaurant management ranks, like they say. SteveSoCal may know something about them since he has some exp. in that MS field.

Playing around on their website a bit . . . List of Clients [www.theinsightgroupintl.com] I did Benchmark for a different company in 2007, Hyatt for a different company in 2010, I've seen Radisson with another company recently and also Westin and Wyndham. I'm betting if you call their phone number they are out of business.

They aren't out of business. I called their number just now. They have been talked about here several times as the company "who only recruits from within their industry." I know Steve was involved in the discussion, and I also know I mistakenly posted that I had shopped for them, which I then edited to state that I was wrong, and I meant Inside Hospitality. But I think they are an ongoing concern that is low key to most shopper's viewpoint as they stick with folks from the trade and could care less about shopping exp. and certifications. That is my story and I am sticking with it. :-)

The client list there doesn't appear to be particularly current. Just some they have worked with at some point in time, I think. I've shopped about 50% of those clients for other MSCs in the past year.

Also...just because you have 1 Hilton doesn't mean you have them all.

I think I may have had some communication with them at one point, but didn't pursue it. I'm not into integrity shops, which they promote heavily, so that's kind of a turn off as well.
