How much PAD is reasonable?

I've spotted one of those grocery shops that involve buying some lunch meat. I've never done one and am unsure how tedious it is. The MSC says all PAD requests will be considered. I have no idea what would be reasonable. Any suggestions?

I got $35 PAD for a grocery shop that was 86 miles round trip so it was $11 + $6 + $35 = $52. Actually, I have done that shop twice for that amount. First time took 3 hours since I had never done it before. 2nd time I didn't pay much attention to time. $52 - $6 gas (total guess) = $15/hour. Not that you asked for all of those details. smiling smiley My shop wasn't buying lunchmeat but interacting with 3 employees. Hope that helps!
I've gotten PAD for shops where someone had to come to my home, and PAD for a shop that was walking distance from me.

I did not get PAD for a shop that was 60 miles away.

It's hit or miss with them There used to be PAD guidelines on their website. You may want to see if you can find it.

A dollar less than someone else is willing to do it for.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
I was asked to travel 27 miles each way plus go across a bridge with a $5 toll. I asked for $15 PAD + the $17 shop fee for a total of $32. The IRS mileage rate alone amounted to $29.16 + $5 for the toll = $34.16 for 1 hour of travel, 1/2 hour on site (minimum), and 1/2 hour getting ready and reporting. I said that I was asking for a low amount of PAD in the hope that I would find some other shops in the area. The person who called and told me that she really needed the job done told me that $15 (including the $5 for the toll bridge) was much higher than she was allowed to pay, but she would ask and call me back the next day. I did not get a phone call. I looked, and saw that someone else had taken the job, As Password suggested, they probably asked for $14 PAD. BTW, the job had been sitting there for a week before I got the call.

Well, I asked for just $5 PAD and then got listed as the back up shopper. So, I guess someone did it for $4, lol! That's ok with me. I appreciate all your comments and advice.
