Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I started with CRI and Bestmark. They have been easy to work with and pay quickly. Their fees are low at the beginning of the month but if you hang on, some of them go up really well by the end of the month. A gas shop that got left undone at $3 at the beginning of March, I did last night for $35. Don't take the jobs when they pzy peanuts. I didn'tknow that when I started. Now I wait and pounce when the money gets better. Keep your radious out to Chattanooga and and Atlanta and further from the small towns in NW Ga. It may be worth a drive. Set up routes that include shops from different companies. I may do shops for "new cars", gasoline, lunch and a bank or two while roaming around the countryside. Mapquest and my GPS and soon to be laptop make a world of difference in finding locations. It really makes a big difference to know exactly where you are going when you leave home. lolol Also, pay attention to when your reports are due. If I'm gone all day and have to stay up all night to get reports done, it's really hard on me. A laptop will let me do a few along the way with WiFi at McDonalds or Denny's or somewhere. Then i can rest when I get home. A digital camera is necessary for the gasoline shops. I have made quite a bit on them in the last few months. I need gas anyway and the reports are a breeze usually. Also, it depends on what kind of shops you want to do??? If you like to eat out, the shops usually just pay reimbursement or might have a small fee. Be careful how much money you stick out there for reimbursement. You can't say you ate for free until the money is back in your hand and that can take some time!!! You won't get rich, but my grocery bill is peanuts these days because I eat out and bring leftovers home. My freezer is stocked with microwave meals and I cook a couple of times a month to have "home made" stuff to eat in the fridge. When I started out, I made myself add three new companies to my list a week. Many never have shops in my area, but they may someday. Now I don't have as much time to add more so I do it when I can. I'm trying to spend some time setting up record keeping, etc. And I spend a lot of time in this forum. Reading and reading and reading and asking questions when I can't find an answer. Good luck and Happy Shopping!

That SERIOUSLY depends on where you live. I have done bonused jobs for BM exactly twice in 4 years, and I was the "go to" shopper in my area (before I deactivated myself in January) according to them. As to CoRI, the bonuses here rarely make it past $1.72 over the starting price.

Hi,I do mystery shopping in NW Georgia also, suburb of Atlanta... I have doing this for 2 years, and the more companies you join, the more work you will have. I look at a job and see if it at least amounts to minimum wage. Some, for $5.00, have you driving 20 minute one way, spending 20 minutes there, driving 20 minutes back, and doing 20 minutes in paperwork. This is not even minimum wage. However, there are a lot of good ones out there, I have had good luck with Service Intelligence, About face, Market Force (blue portal), Second-to-None, Confero, Jancycn...I'm still looking for new ones.
Run like hell from Marketforce.

I do Market Force. Mostly for ff though. I add them to my other routes to feed myself for fun and profit when I'm on the road doing other things. Sort of glue to keep me together while I'm running. lolol Other than ff I've only done some telephone onsite ones for them. Most recently a revealed audit.

I like being able to self-assign those food ones so I can plan a route and get it in place and then zap in some food and gas.
Yes, I have no issues with them. They are quick, easy, undemanding and pay promptly. I love one of their burger places, I'm willing to stop for an office supply and there is always something I need from the hardware store. Tomorrow I so a phone for them in a location where I have 2 other shops anyway, so it makes the single location just all that much more profitable. Their fees are certainly nothing to write home about.
I actually think Marketforce is a good "training" company. Shops are right out there for you to see and you can self assign. Pay is not high, but it is not unreasonable, and their report forms are easy. They usually have explicit instructions and they almost always post a range of dates so you can choose what's most convenient. I did a LOT of shops for them when I was learning, now not so many but since they are easy, offer such a range of dates, and have self-assign, I still slip a bunch of their shops in between the higher-dollar shops. AND, not getting your check from MF has never been an issue. They might be a good starting place for you, jami. Besides that, I would say sign up with as many companies as you can and just start taking jobs. You'll be nervous at first but that will pass. And the first month, when the money starts to roll in feels great! (not that you'll get rich, but you'll have a bunch of fun and make a little extra.)
