Anyone else get ripped-off by MarketStat?

I had completed a couple of assignments for JC & Associates in December, but haven't been paid. MarketStat told me that I would be paid within a week, a couple of weeks ago, but when I requested payment today, they blocked my access to both websites.

I have already saved an image of my expense report from the JC & Associates website, and have the original receipts. I plan to sue them, next week, if they don't pay.

Has anyone else had trouble with them, and have you had to sue any companies yet?

They paid me recently for a job that JCA had left unpaid since last May. I did not hear from them in response to my invoice, but they did Paypal me with a note that it was "goodwill" and they did it within a week or so of me contacting them. I have not been blocked from their site, and I never shopped for them, personally.

"Goodwill", huh? Maybe if they weren't required to pay. I am pretty sure they have to pay me. It would be nice if they would save the trouble of me driving a few miles to the courthouse. I don't know why they reacted to my e-mail that way. They seemed friendly enough when I called them last month.
I asked about the "goodwill" thing on here, and was told that the purchase agreement may have included that JCA pay up all old shopper debts prior to the takeover. Yours would be post takeover. Mine was an unpaid, unanswered one from May, so would not be. I don't know that that is true, just what some people here thought might be the reason.

This does not sound good, keep us posted. They haven't had any jobs here, but, keep us posted.

Will do. I will make it to the court house some time next week if I don't hear anything from them.
I had a JC job done in December and another one in January. Marketstat paid both of them. I did email and ask about the status of payments, and they arrived shortly afterwards. I still have access to the site....

I guess they just don't like me. lol
Just wanted to update: I received payment today. I never got a response to my e-mail, but I do have access to the marketstat website again. Maybe my lack of access to the site was due to them finding information on my account. Anyways, I give them the benefit of the doubt at this point and would recommend them, since everyone seems to say that they pay.
I have done five shops for them and have not been paid yet. The first shop was in March and the last one was in July. I e mailed them invoices to no avail. I just stopped doing work for them.

Have you contacted Chuck Mcguire? Here is his email cmcguire@marketstat.com
When I had a delayed payment once I got his email I got paid. Hope that helps.
Yep...I'm getting ripped off too. Have yet to be paid for an assignment completed on May 2. Two emails requesting payment have gone unanswered.

I'm going to try the Chuck McQuire contact listed above by hgagnon. Will let you know if this works!!
IT WORKED! After sending an email to Chuck McQuire, I received an email response and my payment via PayPal 2 days later. Thanks so much, hgagnon, for providing this tip!

PS: I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau if this was not resolved...that may have prompted the speedy payment.
No problem beachie, I get the fastest response when I email him directly. I haven't threatened bbb but I have said that they are the only company I work for that I have to chase payment.
I wanted to say that for the first time in MONTHS I received payment without an email first. Not sure if Scott had anything to do with that but if so THANKS!!!
