Merc Systems

I received an email thanking me for offering my services to Merc Systems/shopmetrics. Problem is I don't think I applied to this MSC. Looks legit - any one deal with them?

I got that one today as well. Crazy part is that long ago I registered with Merc on their old SASSIE site and so it would not let me register. So I tried my email address and asked for a password and pretty promptly a new user name and password were supplied. Some of my previous information was still there, some had obviously been lost and they want looooots more information now.
I'm a little leery - Merc is not on our list of companies. Checked MSPA and even volition - not there either.
Got one too, i register, thinking that i had applied for this one yesterday. Now im worried.
That request probably went to everyone who had registered with them through Sassie. Their Sassie site is still active, but the new Shopmetrics site is active as well with different jobs showing up. I completed the re-registration process, and the info. that they asked for is standard Shopmetrics fare. Within two hours of registering at the new site I received an email in the standard template format offering the same jobs that are on the Merc Shopmetrics board.

Mercantile Systems and it is on the list
Yes, I got it too and was already registered with their Sassie. I figured it had to do with them switching to Shopmetrics.

Hi Everyone!

Yes we are moving from Sassie to Shopmetrics. Those who believe aren't with Mercantile Systems possibly registered YEARS ago (as far back as 2004) and then forgot. I personally am the one that exported from Sassie and imported to Shopmetrics. The ONLY people receiving the emails "Welcome to Mercantile Systems at Shopmetrics" were already in our system on Sassie. smiling smiley

Hopefully we will have ALL of our assignments/clients moved to Shopmetrics by the beginning of the new year but we are moving shops/clients over as long as we aren't in the middle of a project.

I am trying to reply to everyone's emails but I have gotten (EEK) over 150 emails in the last hour! It is taking me a bit of time to go through each and every single one, but I am trying my darndest!! grinning smiley

Does this mean no more getting passed over for shops on the sassie site that require a minimum score because you've never done a sassie shop even though you have a perfect 10 on the shopmetrics site?

Mercantile System's a good company to work with and never had a bad experience with them. SchedulerDeva was also one of the schedulers I worked with on some of my assignments too.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.

Why, oh why? From what I've seen of Shopmetrics, this is NOT an improvement.
I love Merchantile Systems. smiling smiley They had some great restaurant shops and I did a lot of them. They paid with gift cards. I collected and saved the gift cards for special occasions. I would LOVE to do these again.
If those are the ones I'm thinking of, you can use the gift cards ON the shops some! You can email me at devar@mercsystems.com to verify. smiling smiley

I would believe that is true, but on Sassie ALL new shoppers start off with a 5 rating and as soon as they have completed one shop, that changes to a 10 (if they did the shop correctly). The only shops we had that you needed to have a higher rating than 5 (which would include new shopper rating) would be fine dining and high end hotel. shop.

@SchedulerDeva. That was my complaint. I did a 4* hotel shop on the shopmetrics system, got a 10 and an email from the editor saying it was one of the easiest to edit reports he had ever seen. Similar hotel shops showed up on the sassie site and i was turned down for all of them. I can only assume it was because I had not done any shops on the sassie site.

Hi bgriffin!

Make sure you email Jamie @ jamieg@mercsystems.com She is the one that will be able to help you with those. If I scheduled those, I would certainly help, but they are not my clients.
