Feedback for Gapbuster xec??

I have shopped for GapBusters for a year now. I have never had any problems with them. They pay on time. They seem to be lacking work in my area though....

hi referring to my comment on dec 1 2006,I APOLOGIZE my assignment wasn`t cancel and i was paid, but i still think their relation with you and them needs to be improve, when they call me for another assignment they had to help me fix my picture resizing problem which they did.I`m happy now.
I am a fairly new mystery shopper and Gapbusters is one of the first companies I did assignments for. I have never had any problems getting assignments, uploading my receipts to them and the pay is always on time.
I just registered with them and got--I thought--two UPS assignments. I bought teh rice and boxes for the work and did the first job. The second job no longer shows up on the website as assigned to me. So I have extra rice and a box in case I get another UPS assignment. The shop was last week so they haven't had time to pay yet. The instructions were a little confusing at first, because it appeared that I also had to download a document in color to take to them for copying, but apparently it was for other UPS shops.
I have worked with Gapbusters. They pay in a timely fashion. The shops they have in my area in my area are limited to about 3 clients. I have done several shops with them. My only problem is the time frame for reports. I can't always do a report within 8 hours of doing the shop because of my work schedule.
I have performed 2 shops for Gapbuster. Both *** shops, the only type available in north Texas. One was a printing scenario, but the location couldn't print from a thumb drive, so I got no receipt and received a phone call to clarify. I was told if I did another shop where the service I was to pay for was not offered, make a small purchase of something so I could get a receipt to prove I was there. Today I performed a shipping shop (rice in a box). It took 8 minutes, pays $11, plus reimbursement. I haven't been paid yet (only started MS'ing in January '07), so I can't comment on that, but their UPS jobs are EASY.

I have done shops for Gapbuster in the Tampa Bay area for over a year now. I have never had a problem. The site is rather a pain to go through to search for shops and very repetitive. They are supposed to be revamping it to make it easier. I had to reschedule a shop and had no problem doing so. I also get paid on time and accurately.
I have been a GAPbuster for several years now. If amy one has any problems feel free to email me and I shall help you as much as I can. They are an excellent company to work for, reliable, and carry out evaluations for many big clients.

I started with Gapbuster last November and shopped 5 different ***. They stated I had to get 2 meals - one for drive thru and one for dine-in. I did the shops and submitted the paperwork and receipts. I have yet to be paid. I receive emails from them in regards to the receipts and when I checked my shops - all of them were rejected. They stated there was suppose to be a barcode on the receipts (which weren't in their paperwork to begin with). Because the barcode was missing, the receipts were "lost". There isn't an address nor a phone # to contact anyone. Therefore, I've lost $35 to $50 in meals I normally wouldn't have bought and gas mileage.

billnoh,
The barcode that they are refering to is part of your submission process. After you fill out your report, you have to print out the page and either download via digital camera or attach and fax to them the proof of the shop. The phone number is on the page, and you have to sign and date the page you fax. Try going back into "your assignments" page. From there you should be able to print the page out, or e-mail someone at the "ontact us" and ask what to do. I have found GAP to be a very nce company to work for. Even if the are from "down under".
Good feedback Debi - I do feel a lot of reports are rejected because the instructions aren't followed correctly.

Have signed up with GAP but not deon any shops yet.
I did 2 jobs for gapbuster back in November 2006. 1 was for *** and the other for the *** store. I could not download the UPS store receipt so I faxed it in and I faxed it in and faxed it again and again and again etc.I keep getting e-mails telling me to send the receipt, well HELLO!!!! just how many times must I do this before they get the picture? I have tried to email them to let them know just how STUPID they are. But for some reason they will not write back to me. Has anyone else had this problem????It shows that I never submitted my receipt but I did many times.

I just did my first assignment and now can't find their website!!! It just says website cannot be found. I also tried emailing them and it bounces back. Its ridiculous!!! It better not be a scam!!!
On my first job with them, I was having trouble getting the computer to accept the weight. I emailed the help desk, and I got a response immediately. I did exactly as I was told to enter, but, the "puter" had other ideas, so, another email. This time I received a phone call. We went through the report, and needless to say, it went through for her. It makes me feel good when you have support like that. I have another shop comming up for them on the seventeenth of next month. It is an easy shop, and easy report. MOST OF THE TIME. Gloria E. I used to shop for them regularly and I never had a problem. I was always paid on time. I agree the site is a little difficult to maneuver at first. They closed the stores in my area for the client I shopped. I check in every now and then hoping something new but no such luck.

Making the world a better place to shop, one assignment at a time!
I have done a couple of shops for GAPbuster now. Since they changed their website to make it "easier", there is nothing for me. I click on my state and when I try to select the cities I will shop, none of them even show on their drop-down. One is a major city.

Hello everyon. Iam very new to this forum, but love it. I have done my first three shops for gapbuster and they were very easy. I still haven.t recieve any pay as yet but i guess its still too early. So i will see what they do.
I have done about 12 shops for Gap busters starting this past February and have yet to get paid.

I've proved my bank info as bank number, transit number and then account number.
Is this the correct format?
I really like gapbuster. The pay is okay and they pay on time. The only thing is I wish there were more options for clinents.
GAPbuster is great! They pay on time by direct deposit and call offering bonuses for assignments if they have not been able to place anyone in your area. I only apply for shops at the beginning of the month if I am gong to be in the area, though because $10 CA doesn't cover my mileage.

I just wish they offered more than 1 client in Canada.I did the training modules for 2 clients only to find out afterwards that the second client is not available in Canada.
I have worked for Gapbuster for about 1 year now. They pay when they say and direct deposit which is great. If you have a problem it is very difficult to get a response that day. As with the rest of you I'm trying to input information within their deadlines but they have never responded until the next day. I have input quite a few shops late because of this and I do not know how this impacts on my rating because we are not privy to that.
I too have been contacted to complete 'emergency' shops with a nice bonus included, all agreed to during the phone call.
The problem I've had with uploading receipts is the size and I usually go with the lowest quality, that usually rectifies the situation. Another try would be to cut off or fold over unimportant information on the receipt such as: Thank You for Shopping!!, etc.
One final note that I disagree with any Mystery Shop Co. is sending them a copy of EVERY receipt. I feel if there is a problem than ask for the receipt, otherwise I am wasting a lot of my time preparing and sending receipts. Another solution would be random receipts which I would accept also. If they suspect someone of not completing or falsifying information than request them to submit all receipts as part of a probation.
I have done several FF shops for Gapbuster and never had any problem. They pay on time. Since I am really not fond of "FF" and would prefer to eat at any other "FF" location, I don't take any more of their "FF" assignments unless they are bonused. I have never had any technical difficulties at the website, but I too wish they had more non "FF" clients as I think they are good to work for.
I have only completed one job for GapBusters which was 04-30-07. I check their site out for jobs in my area but it is limited. I would gladly do more work for them in the future.
I signed up with them - it took me 3-4 days to access the paerwork. I finally was able to get it. I did a shop, and have been unable to submit the report because of some type of error, the section is not found when I click on it. I have sent numerous e-mails, and no one has responded.
I have signed up with Gapbuster and they send me jobs to look at on the job board but nothing yet. What is with the Test? Does this mean that you cannot work for them? I really would like to know and it is true yu can only take it so many times. Also, you have to have 100% in order to pass. I wish they would get real. Not all of the companies but some of them sound so mean and hateful until you do not know if you want to work for them or not. I choose "NOT" there are hundreds of companies around. Could someone please write to me and let me know about these test.
I have done a few shops from the British site. Only problem I really see with these is that if you are not keen on fast food, they have nothing else (for me at least) I am stuck with either KFC or Pizza hut. Also they really don't pay a lot, just about enough to cover the meal.
I was called today by GAP to do a job for ***. The girl harldy spoke English. She couldn't understand my questions and when I finally got out the job information she wanted me to drive from Lynchburg Virginia to Fall River Mass ! 11 and 1/2 hours away. I told her no then she asked about another city and 1 and a half away and needed it on Monday! What a notice , I said no and she marked me as refused. I am removing myself from their job list. If they can't contact me and give a decent notice, then mark me as refused for declineing with such a short notice I will stick with the other companies.
