Yes, they were bought by Market Force International and are now the "Blue Portal" at MFI. You can access the Market Force site at [www.marketforceinfo.com]. There are several "portals". One is the old Certified Shoppers, one is the old SG Marketing and then the blue portal is the old SNC.

My opinion - it's a start; maybe it'll work great for you for years. Maybe not. Only one way to find out . . .

From Market Force?
They're one of my favorites.
I've had some really bad experiences with them and ended up out a lot of money when they made excuses not to pay me. It wasn't only one type of shop either.

They certainly have their ups and downs. I find their 'Help Desk' singularly unhelpful, their fees low (and falling) and their responsiveness to reason non-existant. At the same time they do have simple, newbie friendly jobs, where the instructions leave little to the imagination. And their biggest client has a nationwide presence so everybody gets to play (and those jobs stay on the board long enough for the occasional visitor to snag their fill of them because the fee is so low for the time and nonsense involved).

Wow, I know we can't say what companies shop what businesses, but I'm a little curious. In my area at least, most the shops available there pay a fairly decent amount. Higher than a lot of others.
The majority of their shops pay $7.50 or less. On occasion I will see the job that pays substantially better and you can bet that I grab it immediately. And yes, the $7.50 or less jobs often have a fairly substantial reimbursement (up to about 2X the fee) but if the product is not something I would buy anyway and would not find a treat, the reimbursement is useless to me so doesn't count in my estimation of what the job is 'worth' to me. Obviously since these sit until bonused (barely) and with pseudo incentives like 'sweepstakes entry', other shoppers do not find them worthwhile either. But they are there and available for new shoppers to get their feet wet virtually any day of the year.
I noticed this month that just about every shop they have put on the board is paying $1 at the initial outset. One more reason to wait till they are desperate for many of their shops, as I only enjoy a few they do.

Shop N Chek/MFI??? Here there are reimbursement only shops and then $4 and up. Not even seeing any of the $3 phones this month. But certainly their normal shop that I actually look forward to has been dropped in fee by $1. Nevertheless they are flying off the board. Not onto my shop list, though, because they were marginal at best and not worth the drive now.
That was supposed to say, ****$1 LESS****....critical typo. :-)

What is their problem?! I've never received emails of their shops. A week or so ago, I got their email re bi-weekly or daily emails. My profile has always been set to receive, but I went in and tweaked it anyway. Still no email.

And another thing. I look forward to one of their shops in particular and haven't seen it in four months. I figured someone beat me to it. Then I used the advanced search. This particular shop is 6 miles from me. I looked at 100 miles and then 200 miles. My shop only shows up on the 200 mile search.

Yeah Flash, I saw the fee went down a buck.
Yes, you do have to use their advanced search. Interestingly I see different local shops at the default, 100, 160 and 200 miles, with fewer shops at 140 than even at the default. Obviously flaky software but I don't plan on spending my life doing 16 diffeent advanced searches for the shop 4 miles away.
Wow, again I wonder if it is different shops available in different areas. I have seen a few $5 and $7.50 shops on there, but most that I do for MFI are $13-$20.
What part of the U.S. are you in lisams? I'm not asking for specificssmiling smiley

Tell me to mind my own business if you want.

How far away are the shops? And how frequently do you check their board. They are known for this all over the country, and they raise when no one takes the shop. But even then, not that great. $20 is a huge fee for MFI. This discounts all banks that came from SG Marketing, as those paid well and continue to do so.

You must be living in BF Egypt and having to travel 1000's of miles for those fee offers.
I've had good luck with Marketforce(shopnchek). There fees are low, but once you get established with them, they have schedulers who will call and offer good money for shops they need done before the end of the month. Also, then you can call these same schedulers and they will give you more than is listed on the site.
Either I live in the boonies or they can't find any one to take these shops. I have done two jobs for them in the last three days, and neither one was below 15.00. One was a cell phone, and it was 18.00 no buy. The other was a audit for 50.00.
They have always paid on the 5th and the 20th of the month. I can't conplain.

Are you talking about Market Force? They only pay once a month. TrendSource pays on the 5th and 20th.

The shops range from my small town to about an hour away. But I live in a very small town in a rural area so for shops for all companies I have to travel about 30 minutes to an hour.

I check their board about twice a day.

$20 is a pretty big fee compared to other jobs offered in my area. I have also done a few $30 to $50 audits for them. That's more than I've seen for my area on any site.
We do between 20 and 40 jobs a week for the MF Group. Our average pay for them is about $11 slightly less than some of my more favorite companies, but steady, consistant volume is necessary when Mystery Shopping is your bread and butter. At one time, they represented almost 65% of our income, but with the sneaky rate decreases they have been working in, I have been trying to reduce my dependence on them. Now they are 20-40%. (We try to do 100 jobs a week, when possible.)

They are a solid steady company, but they have their issues. I have been much happier with the Marketforce branch of the company than the Certified branch.

Talk about the dysfunctional branch on a family tree.... I do a lot of jobs for Certified, but I keep telling myself, this is the last one...

The pay isn't bad, the jobs are fun, they are close, the paperwork is a snap, but the company is perhaps the least professional of any company I work for.

I get the feeling that they are 3 high school drop outs, semi-stoned, sitting in their basement somewhere in New York, running this online company.....

(can anyone guess what company I had a bad experience with today?
Love the image you build JayTee smiling smiley I don't even bother with Certified. Unless you are including reimbursements in your average with the SNC branch of MFI you are doing a much higher average than is/would be available in my market. Otherwise kudos on being able to find so many jobs per week (either that or "You gotta be crazy to drive that far!"winking smiley I find it terribly important not to be too dependent on any one company. I start getting a little nervous when a single company is responsible for even 20% of my monthly income. Not interested in taking that kind of hit if they take a hike.
I did the $30 audit, but it was not time effective. I would not do it again. I don't really consider that one of their "regular" shops, like the myriad of FF, retail MS shops, and wireless shops. And those don't pay anywhere close to $30...here. $20 for remote location FF when they are desperate. I am not that desperate, though. I can stay in town and make that for other companies.

I think it depends on the speed of the manager working with you. At one I had a really slow walker/worker/mover and it took almost 3 hours. At another location I had a faster worker and we got done in just under an hour.
I've noticed that this month, two of their shops went from $8 fee to $7. How cheap is that?!?!?! Not to mention that one of these is for a casual burger place with a reimbursement of $10, where the purchase requirement actually costs anywhere from $11 to $12. So essentially, they are paying only $5 fee now. I REFUSE to take that shop. Unfortunately, they seem to go like hot pancakes. There are enough misguided souls out there who would accept these terms. That's why they can get away with paying so little.
