How about some more information.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

I was contacted by this compnay after I replied to a "myster shopper" ad.
I received a check today,so I know it's not on the up and up. I am curious as to the origin of this company when I looked them up by the address on the check they are located in CA. I can send more info, but not sure it's necessary. They sound like a scam,No company will send a check for $2999 without it being a scam.
But thank you for the reply, much appreciated.
Those mystery shopper ads are some of the worst and that is certainly a scam. Hopefully some others will chime in because there are some channels for reporting the crooks. At least you weren't one of the ones who believed you would get something for nothing, or next to nothing.

If you have an interest in "real" mystery shopping why don't you pull up a chair and stick around for a while. We are a mixed bag, but most of us know a thing or two about legitimate mystery shopping, well at least a thing maybe not twosmiling smiley

Sounds good and i will check back in the morning, I'm on the east coast and 10pm is it for me, have to get up at 6am. I will check back in the morning,
Anyone that sends you a check in advance, especially a large check, is a scammer! Scammers change the names of their "companies" all the time, or even use the names of legitimate mystery shopping companies, so going by a name is not the best way to judge. BUT, their actions speak loudly: SCAM.
