Freeman, big surprise?

Hello ,

First, let me apologize for the delay in your payments. Unfortunately, at this time we are experiencing delays in collection of some of our receivables which in turn is delaying our ability to make payments. We understand your concern and truly apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause. Please be assured that you have not been forgotten and you will be paid. We are in hopes that this situation will be resolved within the next six weeks and we will be able to get caught up.

We anticipate this issue will be resolved within the next six weeks. We make payments on a weekly basis and we will make payments in the order of shop date completion.

While I am not the Project Manager I have been asked to help out with payment issues during the transition phase so nothing more gets lost in the shuffle. We wanted to provide some communication that we are aware of the delinquency of your payment and we are doing everything possible to get this issue resolved quickly.

Best regards,

Kim Scarcia // FreemanGroup

Everyone that pays attention knows that they consistently are sorry...blah, blah. They use the money that you have paid out to run the company. You will be paid, but it will be some time and you may have to beg. We shoppers are keeping them in business and they are well aware of this.
After years, they still have not gotten ahead of their billing. With a decent capital pool, they would have the means to pay contractors in a timely manner even if the client is tardy.

I have noticed a trend in which locations for one big client are shopped in my region. It used to be all of them, and now it seems that the ones with bad tripfinder reviews are evaluated regularly. If only suspect locations are shopped, there may be more poor evals, followed by franchise owners' protests. A contested shop might delay the acceptance and payment as details are verified.
Got the same email from them last week. Have posted under delayed payments with lots of feedback. Also sent copy to MSPA. Today will send to BBB. Tomorrow is youtube. Will keep sending stuff to anywhere I can think of to let everyone know what **** this company does. They owe me for only two shops, but each is almost $200. Will contact company that they had me shop end of week to ask them why they don't pay their bills? Maybe that will get Freeman paying their people. BTW every posting I have made I have sent a copy to Kim so she knows my thoughts on all this. Thanks for letting me vent. Max
It almost sounds like a group of you should get together and file a small claims court lawsuit where Freeman is located. You may be able to do it by mail. List all of the individuals as plaintiffs, Freeman as the defendant, and ask for all of your money, plus interest and court costs. If several people do this in one lawsuit it would minimize the cost to each person.
Sent kim the following about 10 minutes ago. FYI,

Kim, FYI I filed a complaint with MSPA yesterday. Posted your letter and my earlier responces on MSPA forum today. Will file complaint with the BBB tomorrow. Wednesday will contact Hard Rock corporate headquarters to complain about them not paying you so I'm not getting paid. Thursday I plan on adding all this info on youtube, twitter, etc. Friday, I'll contact my lawyer and ask him to go to small claims court. BTW, seems this is a common practise with your company and maybe a class action law suit is required from everyone you have done this to. Will find out how many shortly as I've gotten over 30 replies to my MSPA forum letter already. Just being upfront as I don't lie, cheat, or steal and that is what has occurred from your side of this interaction. Don
BTW, I'll post this later today.
Were these for hotel or restaurant shops? I used to love their easy hotel shops but a friend had trouble getting paid for them, though not for their musically themed restaurant ones. Those were paid on time. I keep holding out hope for them, that they'll get it together.
These were for restaurant/bar/gift shop with a world wide chain owned by an Indian tribe which bought the group about ten years ago. max
I did 2 hotels and a musically themed restaurant. I got paid today for the 2/20/2012 shop but not for the earlier shops. Lots of $ outstanding but since I have to stay overnight anyway for my company. it works out.
Got paid for the first shop with assurance that I will be paid for the second one next week. Interesting that any company can stay in business treating the people they depend upon the way that they do. Just an FYI, I don't recommend doing anything for these folks. max
I can't believe everyone is facing this problem with the freeman group. I had performed a visit for the same restaurant in Kuwait back in March and still haven't been paid. I've written to Kim and several others several times, but haven't received any replies at all.

At least you got a reply! All the other times I've done visits for freeman group, once I remind them about the payment, I get paid. But this is unbelievable. Do you have the email address of a manager I could complain to as all my emails are just being ignored sad smiley
Hi! thank you so much. Kim was one of the employees I'd written to earlier but hadn't gotten a reply. Anyway, one of the employees Shanna wrote to me today morning apologizing for the delay and I should get paid on or before June 1st. Lets see. Anyway, thank you so much for your help. Feel happier when I realize that its not just me thats waiting for a payment. Thanks!
Yup, got another email that the receipts were never submitted, RIGHT, so off another set goes to them. Of course I'll still shop for them, shame on me
They just added a TON of new Wyndham shops, so I am guessing that was the holdout client. Must've gotten caught up.
Just wanted to update here that I still haven't gotten my payment though its a few days passed the "on or before June 1st" promise sad smiley sigh. Have sent shanna another email asking for a status on my pending payment. Why wont they just pay me!!??
