None of us appreciate curt or rude responses. cynb has a good point about schedulers getting a ton of e-mails. A lot of companies have cut back and schedulers may have larger territories and more clients to contend with than before. As much as I would prefer nice responses, any response in a timely manner beats the heck out of e-mails that are ignored or not answered for days and days

As you said too, it's not always possible to correctly gauge intent from an e-mail. Some write in a way that is similar to business letters in days of yore and other's use it for just super quick responses.
