Mystery MG Guest mystery shopping services

Has anyone heard of this mystery shopping service? I received an email from them stating they are new, wanting me to signup with them?

They have been around for quite a while. They are an MSPA company and are followed by BBB. They have recently begun allowing you to self schedule shops on their website. In the past you got an email about a job and if you accepted you could report on their site. I have only done one job for them as they do not normally have anything near me (the restaurant I did folded shortly after I shopped them--though I don't think their was a cause and effect there).

I had no problems with them so never tried to contact them and I did get paid. Their website is [www.mysteryguestinc.com] for sign up.
I did a shop for them in late June. The people there are very nice. I hear it takes 60-90 days to get paid. Reimbursement only, strict rotations, and reimbursements only cover a portion of a meal for 2 (and 2 are required on the shops I have been given notice of...) If it is somewhere you would eat on your own money, the forms take 5 minutes, so its worth it to dine out at a discount. If not, other MSC's pay better and faster, but usually require 2000 words of narrative. An exception to the latter is A Closer Look. There narrative is shorter, but detailed in its own right and usually takes me an hour. They don't pay for the report, but their reimbursements are good and fair..though some are better than others depending on the company that is being shopped and their requests. Orilio is fair pay and good reimbursement, but stated 60 day pay and the outlay is high. But they reimburse for valet, food, and drinks/bottle of wine. Higher end shops on the whole.

I had heard a few months ago that there were pay problems with Orilio. Do you know if that has cleared up dee shops? 60 days is a long time for a high reimbursement, but discovering even after that that you have to fight to GET paid is a strong discouragement from doing shops for them that aren't places I would normally go or particularly love.
MG does the casual dining places named after a kind of rich cake with cream cheese. Just signed up, I'm waiting for them to do the one near me.

It was me who posted that on the other forum. I got immediate response from the owner, and the check was cut that day. The next one came right on the 60 day mark.

That is excellent to know. They have a couple of shops somewhat near me that occasionally the price gets interesting. But since I am not a big drinker, an evening in the bar with $50 of appetizers and drinks is not high on my agenda. And if I did it and wasn't paid I would be truly annoyed. Would it be fair to post at or near your other post the information about the owner response? Oversights do happen, it is rather a continuing "pattern" of oversights we need to worry about.

I did just that previously. However, I am no longer a member of that other forum where I posted about it - I do not like the deletion policies and sent an email to the owner stating that and asking to be deactivated. :-)

I have not deactivated because I do use it as a resource for checking info on shopper experiences with companies. I found what transpired there dispicable but will not cut off my nose to spite my face. I am glad that you did post that things with Orillio worked out. Thanks!
I really like Mystery Guest. Every month a scheduler calls me to offer phone and on-site credit union shops. It pays pretty good. I was skeptical at first about their payment procedures, but the scheduler was willing to find out for me when my check would be mailed. Sure enough, it was mailed out at said time.
