MSC Flaked on ME! Argh!

Is it just me that finds it hard to believe that someone from the client's corporate headquarters called someone at the MSC at 9:15 am to request that one location not be shopped? It's sounds way more likely that the location was supposed to be removed and fell through the cracks which means the MSC made a boo boo and should take responsibility. Just sayinwinking smiley

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.

Well, I got a response:

Good Afternoon,

I apologize for my error. I did not realize your state was halfway in two time zones. We will pay you half of the Shop Fee for this shop.

Please let us know if we may assist you further.

At least they are going to pay me half. This will cover half the cost of gas I wasted.

Lesson learned: no more shops more than 5 miles from my house unless they are HEAVILY bonused
Yep, someone boo booed. Or, to be more accurate...screwed up royally. I am glad you got paid half. But, what if you didn't have access to email. Or, just decided not to check it. I check my email maybe once when I am out on the road.
I had one shop which had a three-day window and unfortunately for me, I did it on the first day. The return portion was supposed to be done the next day. It was a high-end store and the purchase was about $200 but I received a note from the scheduler apologizing and that the client changed the purchase item and I would have to go back. For an instant, I was really furious. Then, because I really liked the scheduler, I decided to go back to purchase the item at another shift, hoping I would not encounter the original salesman. Then, the next day I returned both items. I never again accepted another assignment for that store to protect my identity. To change the scenario when the shop was already assigned was an indication of the serious disrespect by the MSC. And I was stupid to let it go and did not even demand a bonus.
