angry and frustrated with MF's constant browser/upload problems!

As I'm sure most of you know, MF did an upgrade of their systems and now has constant problems with Firefox and IE9. No one has the correct information- it'll be fixed tomorrow, next week, last Tuesday, etc. and their main "helpful" suggestion has been to tell me to put Google Chrome on both my computers! I already have a browser, and don;t want to add more!I have 2 unpaid shops for February that I will have to pay to fax today, and then I get a nasty call from the purple portal.
She demands to know why my paperwork/reports are overdue, hostile, rude. I carefully explained to her what's going on with their browser, and she says to give her the information "right now" and she will type it in in the office. Ummmm, sorry, I am on my way out the door in 5 minutes to go to my other jobs. She gets nasty again, loud voice- I read her what is posted in my message box about the browser problems, and she practically calls me a liar. She send me a blank email, and says- send me your reports right now by email. As Im talking to her, in my inbox pops an apology from purple "help desk" where they say they are working hard to solve the browser problems, and here is the correct email to send them to. What? She just told me they have NO browser problems!
Well, well, guess I'll copy and paste this email to her and say "looks like you ARE aware there are browser problems, keeping CFA's from submitting." 2 hours later, very sheepish email, stopping just short of an apology and saying she has forwarded the email to all her bosses and the supervisors. Vindication! But still no fix to their system, submission is hit and miss, and I get to spend $3 faxing today. Grrrr...rant over.

Even though you have a browser already, I think I would add Google Chrome to avoid the hastle of not getting reports in on time. I have Chrome and have zero problems submitting my reports to MF.
Robin- I understand Chrome may have no problems, but I already have perfectly good browsers on my computer, and this is their error, not mine. Why would I want to glut my computer? That was the point.

Downloading one additional browser shouldn't make any noticeable difference in your computer's performance.
If you don't want to download another browswer, you could just revert back to IE8. Or is IE9 significantly better? I don't know,.. I use IE8.
I only did one job for MF last year, yes one all year. I read about the changes and didn't know what to expect. As luck would have it I've been sold on Chrome since then. Since it is a newer browser I expected to have problems when submitting some photo audits on Monday. Wow, was it a pleasant surprise when everything worked so well. Jaosmom, I don't really blame you. It's frustrating when companies have systems that are incompatible with all but one browser so I have IE, Firefox and Chrome. It's gotten to where opening IE causes my PC to bog down and Firefox is almost as bad. Even so, in the long run I still save so much time and frustration just using what will work for each company. Like David said, browsers don't really take up much space.

I understand about the browser, but I've found Chrome to come in quite handy otherwise too. I can't view my daughter's school grades in Firefox right now. I was just letting you know know I experienced no problems with Chrome. smiling smiley

I had a problem submitting my receipt via Firefox this AM and just waited and an hour later and I was able to submit via IE. I was surprised, but it worked. BTW the report and CPI went through using Firefox, there was just an error when I tried to upload the receipt first time around.
I actually don't use IE at all. There are too many virueses. I have had zero problems since starting to use Firefox exclusively.

I am also very annoyed about this. I wondered why I kept getting all those error messages all the time! Personally it is absurd of them to expect you download chrome or any other browser. It's not like Firefox is some rare species of browser - it is very popular. They should make their systems work with BOTH FF and IE.
This isn't the first MSC that I've run into this frustration with.
So you're spending money faxing rather than just downloading Chrome? I have all 3 on my PC - IE, Firefox and Chrome.

Firefox is my preference, but the others definitely come in handy.

You could always remove it once the problems are fixed, but it's really not hurting anything!
I think I'll get chrome, got 3 MF next week. I just dumped Opera because it was soooo slow. IE is hit and miss with me. Always learning on this blog.

Remember burgers and bonus is a good thing(but not next week).
The last set of updatesq screwed up IE 9 on my PC. I am strictly using chrome now.

I get an error with CORI but I chose don't bother me and it goes away. Everyone else works great with chrome so far.

Thanks guys- I actually had a friend tell me to come use her fax machine for free. I have received so many excuses from MF about the date when all this would be fixed. The most recent is " Mozilla has been very slow in sending is a fix for the problems with Firefox." Ummm.. really? Don't you have any IT guys on staff? I am just going to stop accepting MF jobs in either portal until their problems are fixed.

MF has been sending out notices about the problem for a while now and it' still not fixed. I had several shops that did not have receipts submitted because of the problem. I wrote an email to the help desk to acknowledge I was aware they were late, telling them it was because of the browser problem and asking if it was fixed. They said they were still working on it. Later that day the button on my mf page that allowed me to view and select shops was gone. I sent an email asking what was going on and DAYS later they finally responded saying that I could no longer take shops because I had not uploaded my receipts.

Dear god...

Sometimes you wonder if anyone is in charge.

(I finally upladed everything, using a different browser, and it was all resolved).

Now I am able to go back and select shops that pay little money...

REALLY???
What makes you think their "IT guy" isn't an IC just like us? If they lowball him like they do shoppers that pretty much explains everything doesn't it, LOL!

That may be true, but after 11 emails and 2 phone calls with 13 different excuses and promised "fixed" dates and times, I would assume that either they are just not smart ( a common assumption) or massively slow. I mean, to have that employee tell me I was a liar, that they had no problems, after already reading it posted on their website and getting several emails- ummmm, yeah. Something stinks in Denmark.

Tried to submit my FF reciept today and wouldn't take it, but did take my CPI. Switched to IE and it took my reciept on the first try. I'm going to try Chrome.
I found a tire store audit with a great bonus. My only concern was the number of photos. Used Chrome and the report took about 20 minutes for everything. I can't complain about that.

Here's a new one for me -

I just completed a report and when I went to upload the receipt I was taken to a page that said my receipt had been verified. CPI is also showing as verified but I haven't submitted either the receipt or the CPI.

Yet another email had been sent to the HelpDesk...
