GAPbuster: USA

Just received an email from GAPbuster informing me that they will soon have shops across the USA with a new client whom the email describes as a "major name in consumer electronics," beginning in February.

The email also noted that I needed to log on and "reactivate" my account. Any USA shoppers who might be interested should do likewise, if they didn't receive this email.

I did this yesterday too. I didn't even realize I was signed up with them. Probably heard about them here, signed up, and then forgot.
I wonder if they are the ones that got the contract for the electronic store audits that have been with GFK.

I don't know if they used to be GFK's but I am soooo sick of Gfk sending out 15 trillion emails!
I got the email regarding the Smartphone shops coming up in February and instructions were to log in, complete the orientation module and then complete the client specific module for the Smartphone; however, I sure can't locate a Smartphone module.

Anyone else have this trouble or am I being locked out because I don't meet the criteria to do these shops?
I think you have to pass the general orientation first before you can get to that...not sure though. I know I took (and passed it before) but I only got an 88 on it today (I was distracted but thought I would try and get it done). I looked back at my email and reread it and I think that is how you get to the Smartphone testing. I figured I would just wait until the jobs started posting.

I got through the orientation but there was nothing there. My thinking is that they've jumped the gun a bit OR maybe I don't qualify.
Today I got the Smartphone email too, the one announcing that you might win $500 if you go to the trouble!...

...I haven't, yet. I may, if I get bored Saturday.

Lisa, yes, they got that contract and are searching for shoppers.
I as well got that email, and had forgotten about them. Had been signed with them 6 years ago, but, never worked for them, so we'll see
what happens, pay for this electronic shop was 13.00.

Live consciously....
The one I was talking about are the audits of the stores and took hours. Hopefully it's not the same thing!

Yes. I took it and passed. My problem is the job search feature isn't working and neither is trying to submit an enquiry. I'm new to Gapbusters and clueless.

Really. I didn't pay a lot of attention, but thought they were fairly loose. The age range seemed like it was 20 to 60 or something like that.

I'm a bit older than 60! Maybe they think we older folks aren't up to speed on the new tech stuff! Oh, well! Maybe if they do anything in my area they won't get shoppers and that will change?
They do seem to pick arbitrary ages at which we all become either dotty or incapable of embracing anything newwinking smiley

I remember years ago my daughter was shopping for a radio for me and when she told the salesman that it was for her mother he kept trying to show her the very simplest to use radios. She finally told him that HER mother had to teach her how to use the computer, etc. and to just show her a really good radio. And that was long before I was 70!

Now she wants to set up an eBay store - guess who's supposed to figure out how to do it?
I just signed up with them earlier this week and got the email as well. I did the orientation but did not see the Smartphone module. I don't know if it means I dont't qualify or if they are not in my area. I'm a bit confused.

Sincerely,

GAPbuster? I remember taking tests and then discovered that they only had the Fast Food franchise (which I did not particularly like) in my area. They asked me why I have not done any of their shops when I am certified. I told them I had no car. lol
brendah, you need to edit your post to remove the client name.

Wow, their website is cumbersome. There shouldn't be so many steps to locate and assign shops. I sure hope the reporting process is more user-friendly.
I still can't see them so I suppose I don't qualify for some reason. I have sent them a msg. to see why - hopefully they'll respond.
Here's a heads up - save your assignment instructions, because they cannot be accessed on the day the assignment is due. I have no idea what these people were thinking when they designed their website.
