just finished a restaurant for them...

not a new company but new standards... everything that is exceptional needs narrative that lists something exceptional...

scheduler called and talked to me... she was really nice but just thought i would give out the advice first... saves both of ya time..

Well, hopefully they can see what they are doing well and keep it up!

What advice did they give you? I'm doing my first job for Bestmark Saturday night for a dinner shop. The guide shows a sample report, and although there is a lot of narrative, it does not seem too bad.

oh just if you give exceptional ratings than give something that is unique or not found elsewhere

i thought good portions and speedy service were exceptional... but evidentialy they needed more...

the narrative is not long at all... 50-100 characters for each ... the form is really easy... didnt take me more than 20 min to fill out... i got docked $2 for asking the wrong phone question... but thats nothing...

All i get in NorCal is Auto dealers and electronics shops.

I did the shop last night and then completed the form afterwards. I thought the form got to be very tedious. I was writing a lot more than 100 characters for everything. They want details, so I was trying to give them details.

Does Bestmark give you feedback? I'm doing another shop for them Saturday (same chain, different location), and if I made a mistake, I'd like to know before Saturday.

They don't really provide feedback as such, just contact you if there is a problem. So no news is good news. The form for that restaurant is definitely tedious at first, but becomes much easier as time goes on.

i always write what i feel needs to be said first and then go back and shorten it later... same with sassie shops too... and cori and mfi... and some other companies... seems their employees dont want to read... cant blame them... wouldnt want to do that either...

saves time rather than writing and editing at once... same with school work... i would just write what i felt and then go back and edit... doing both at once does not save time...

i read somewhere once that your brain functions best one task at a time...NOT 2 since it is two halves and not one whole and the sides communicate... the connections are lost so ex: one task gets 100% always but two tasks get only 80% (40% + 40% +20% lost in translation) or something...

Yes I think you are right Dude. Multitasking in the long run isnot really efficient. Pay attention to the task at hand. And then move on. That is my theory.
