Ace

I just did a job for Ace, and no one was in the department I was to evaluate, no one in the store knew what time they'd be in, supposed to be in at 10:00 although store opened at 9:00. I got there at 10:00, and walked around for 25 minutes. The report was of course void of detail, no one to evaluate, so, N/A it was....will I be paid for my time. Third party help never showed up during my visit, this is not my fault, I spent an hour total time, including report, and I want to get paid.

this exact thing happened to me. exact. i arrived at the correct time, walked around for forty five minutes, no one to evaluate during my entire visit, third party never showed. glad it's not just me. and no, i did not get paid. (sorry for the poor typing, my caps lock key is stuck)
Not sure if it was ACE, but a similar thing happened to me twice with two MPCs & I DID get paid in both cases. Unfortunately it happened a third time (with yet another MPC)and I DID NOT get paid. Depends on the MPC, I guess. I would e-mail Deva at ACE. The client should want to know that the kiosk (I am assuming it was a kiosk) was unstaffed.
I wrote the incident in detail, so they know, but, I will shoopt off an email to Deva...first time it's happended to me, but they should know this, so report should be valid.

If you followed the shop guidelines to the best of your ability, you deserve payment. I've had to fight for payment in a couple of similar situations, and in both cases, the client agreed to pay.
