My first rejected shop sad smiley

Market force rejected my shop. I got a call from a scheduler wanting help. She wouldn't budge much on bonus, but she did give me a time frame of Dec 12-15. I did the shop and submitted on time, but I've just got an email saying I didn't do the shop on time. And do you think I CAN FIND MY CPI????? HELL NO. lol. I emaled back, told them I was within the parameters, but I think I'm out a few dollars. Live and learn.

Bummer. Do you have your original e-mails from them? If you've not purged your e-mails trash folder, they might still be there.

In the future, use something like Cute PDF or Bullzip PDF Printer and save backup copies of everything involving timing and fees. It can save your bacon.
I make a real folder, print out my CPI and my confirmation email and put them inside the folder within 10 minutes of receiving the confirmation email or the auto sign /on self assign,.... I do that with all my shops. I know the paper and ink usage are higher but I do this for my own peace of mind.

Can you try printing it out (for the future)? I realize they changed things and the CPI is on site, where you electronically sign it... but still, the CPI is priceless!
I don't like to print a lot of things, and I want as little paper floating around my house as possible. I keep a copy electronically of each CPI (or instructions from companies other than MF0 - I keep a year's worth, broken into Months, then a folder for each company I have shopped that month. I keep it on a flash drive, then at the end of each month I copy to my backup disk. Probably overkill but never know if I'll need it. I also put scanned copies of receipts into the electronic foldeR.
I am generally super organized, but it's been a weird week for me, so I have no proof unless the paperwork is in my car. It's not a huge deal, I knew as soon as I took it that I'd regret it more or less. I did the walk in first. This neighborhoood is rough, ghetto to be honest. Had my first meal, went out to the car to make notes and prep for drive thru. A very young, healthy, african american man knocked on the window of the car and for some reason I rolled it down a bit. He wanted money to call the hospital to check on his girlfriend, and if not money, then cigarettes. I told him I had no money and didn't smoke. He said howcome you have no money. I said I use an atm card for everything. rolled up the window and forced myself into the drive thru. All this for 13. Mea culpa, I knew it was a bad deal when I took it.
I too store all of that information monthly on a flash drive that transfers to my desktop machine at the end of the month. Because I do a variety of things on the flash drive there is a folder for Mystery Shopping and folders for other things. In the folder for Mystery Shopping is a folder for each MSP I am currently working with. Inside that folder is a pdf of the instructions, the Word copy of any narratives written, sometimes a copy of the report itself in pdf format (especially if I don't totally trust the MSP), jpg copies of receipts and photos and sometimes a screen shot of the job specifics (I have accepted a job at one posted fee and the next time I looked the shop had magically transformed from a $10 site visit to a $3 phone call).
market force is big on cpi...no cpi no pay... i had my first shop i did for them rejected... but that was a long time ago... just did my first successful shop (2nd one) about a month ago... made sure i kept the receipt and got the cpi...

its all a learning experience...

most sites want you to save stuff for about a month... sometimes more... i just keep everything in one big pile... but then again i dont do more than 6 shops a week...

if i were you probably the best bet would be to just scan the stuff into the computer and save it in a file... or you could do it by a filing cabinet/binder with dividers by company...

Suzy-

The easiest way to back-check MFI is to log in, click on Submit CPI/Receipts and there, laid out beautifully for you is your last 5-8 shops, complete with date and time specs as sent in the original assignment e-mail.

Screen shot that bad boy if you're in the right, then handle it.
Thanks 3off.......I did just that and I'm right. LOL I'll shoot those folks a copy. Thanks again.
I always keep the email confirming the shop espescially when it states a different amount from the original or an offer from a scheduler. I have had far too many where they have called with an offer, I receive a check or paypal payment different from the offer and then they have no record of the offer.
I started the shop too late. It was to be done between 7 and 9 am. I started at 9:15. My own fault.

YEOUCH, sorry. I've had to do DT last just to get one in by 9 when my morning was crazy.

I also don't get the client requirement. Every one around here of those is busy at different times-some 6:45-7-15, some 7:30-8:00, some until 8:15ish.

I have done over 20 locations. And I swear to you I have only been to one (on a weekday) that was busy after 8:30 am and it was in a hospital parking lot.
Seems odd that the time requirements aren't just "breakfast" or "lunch" etc. But I'm just the independent contractor, not the client, so next time I'll be sure and re-read the requirements.
I, also, got rejection from MF. It was my own fault. I have done 15 of these shops and didn't clearly read the instructions. It should of been a drive THRU and I did a drive IN as I always do. Not a big deal. Just ended up buying myself lunch. LOL
When they call me to help them out, I always say that they'll have to help with gas. So far I've never had an arguement. Maybe I was just lucky but I did very well with MF in November.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to me!!
I guess I have been lucky. I have shopped a job too early at a retailer. They sent me an email that I need to verify the times on my CPI but I it was not rejected.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
My daughter recently did a shop and thought she bought the correct item. Oops! This time she did not read the guidelines and the item had narrowed to only ONE choice! They asked her if she had read the guidelines or had been relying on past guidelines. Honestly, yes, that was the case. Lesson learned.
I've been very happy with MF. The error was mine and I also learned to re-read the guidelines. Good company to work for, pay on the due date and generous bonuses. The backbone of my shopping group.
Yeah, I've had two shops rejected, both for shopping the wrong location. Google screws up my driving directions with regularity, so when I found a mattress store and a check cashing place in the vicinity of where I expected them to be, I shopped them. Both times, there was a second location 2 or 3 blocks away. Go figure. The mattress shop/report took a while to do, so it was painful not to get paid. OTOH, the check cashing shop/report were exceptionally easy, and heavily bonused, so that was like throwing away free money.
Ok, dumb question for the day. What is CPI? I don't think I work for Market Force so is that just a MF thing or a mystery shopping thing?

It's just the shopper invoice and I've only heard the CPI reference with Market Force.
