They have great fast casual restaurants in our area. I probably only get 50% of the assignments I apply for. That's ok, it's still better than nothing. I have done 6 shops for them, all 10 ratings. I do wonder why I don't get more shops that I apply for.

Hawaii is just too far to travel for a food shop. LOL!
I've done 4 of their shops and have gotten nice comments on my reports and a 10 rating. I've tried for that western shop but never get it (at least so far) and I've requested a couple others that are on their board.

Do they ever allow you to self assign or do we ALWAYS need to hang around waiting till the scheduler gets time to assign?
I've always had to wait to be assigned, but it was usually in plenty of time meet the deadline. If anyone is having problems, I suggest calling and getting help, assistance or whatever you need. Wonderful folks to deal with..
No self-assign here, the Western shop sit's, no one wants it due to the purchase, just nothing to buy for 12.00.

Well, this is the Southwest so the western shop always goes to someone. I tried on the last round and didn't get it. They have 3 of those and I hate the shopping ctr. but asked for the one that's standalone and haven't had any luck.
I've done all of the Western shops for CI. I am not sure if I'll continue picking them up - though they are easy pay since I've done them and know how they want the surveys completed.

Irene - I completely agree about finding something within the purchase price! I've had luck finding tank tops for right around $14.99, so I'm losing 3$. Can you pick up a t-shirt for an orphanage or place where you could donate it? I was able to find a cute "glittery pony" shirt for my niece for Christmas that was only $13.99 and not on sale. (how, I don't know!)

They really should change their guidelines so we can at least find something that is in the $12.00 reimbursement range!

*Edited I went back and found the receipt for the "Glittery Pony T-Shirt" - my bad, it was 13.99 not 11.99!*

They don't sell socks or scarfs?

It's been years since I've been in that store. I worked the firm where the original owner's daughter practiced. I've not been in since it was sold.
Plmccut - I don't wear socks.. LOL... (seriously). Also, the guidelines specify is has to be a clothing item - no accessories - at a minimum of $12.00 (and you get reimbursed only up to $12.00).

I haven't looked at the scarfs - but again, I don't wear those either. I've tried to find shirts right around $14-15 for myself or for my nieces. All of them I've done were before Christmas, so what I was able to pick up made for nice gifts!

I've never done those shops but I would probably choose socks or scarves and put them aside as gifts.
They sell socks here for about 10.00, but I don't like them and had a difficult time buying them, (then returning, well), doesn't look like anything I would buy, since I can get socks I like at Macy's on sale for about 3.50, and have found fun socks at the .99 store, really not duable. The limit should be 20.00, at least you can add and get a nice pair of jeans. This job is a thorn, but, they are one of my favorite companies.

Yes I agree about finding it hard to find anything for $12. I can't even find anything in my size since I'm a plus size.I have went ahead and purchased a 40 shirt and then returned it but you can only get away with that a few times. Instructions say you have to try something on. I go into the dressing room and read over my instructions or catch up on a few text messages. Come out, act like I didn't like anything when the truth is... nothing will fit! I would love to buy jewerly or a watch. Maybe they are trying to increase sales just from mystery shoppers! LOL
Well, I don't have to worry about it as all 3 shops are gone and none to me. Oh, well, I didn't think I'd get 'em.
Hang in there everyone. Things have a way to work out one way or another. I've found them to be a very fair and understanding company to work with. Perhaps their hands are tied with the company they work for on the particular shops you are referring to. It wouldn't hurt to let them know what the problems are with accepting the shops in case changes could be made. In the meantime I suppose you'll have to look at it as getting $12 off a pair of jeans you'd like to have. Wish they had western stores where I lived. I believe there are some, but doesn't seem they have that particular account, or I've not seen them posted... Just some ideas..
My stores don't carry watches as above poster stated, and their prices for
the western wear is very expensive, with jeans being 40.00+, of course finding
stuff on sale is not duable, inventory not that great, so sizes are never right for me. Western boots for those that ride, works, but, a very specilized store. I just don't bother, I MUST enjoy my shopping, especially
two trips. Would you really go there to buy a pair of socks and then return them...just askin.

The assessories they have at our stores are really nice and you can get jewerly for under 20. But your right about the clothes! I haven't found ANYTHING under 40 regular price. Maybe a sale rack but even those are high priced.
