Gapbuster in Canada

They have new shops and have been emailing me asking me to certify and to select.

I completed the training and I can select jobs now, but I do not see in the instructions what the required meal purchase is....

Does anyone know what we order at the dine in restaurant? Can I bring a guest?

I'm hesitant to select these for two reasons: 1) I don't know if I can bring a guest - can I order a larger item and get full reimbursement? 2) I have asked them the previousquestion, by email and through submitting on their website and they have not answered. If they can't answer a simple question, how are they going to be to deal with??? You would think it would be easy to tell me either what is the required order or where to find the answer.... but they won't tell me.

If they ignore this type of question, imagine if there is a problem?

Has anyone else in Canada had interactions with them that go beyond getting basic emails that say "select and do jobs"?

I have been with them for a week and have done one job for them. I am signed up for 6 more....BUT they are impossible to get a hold of. When they called me to get me to take another job the other day, I ambushed the scheduler and tried to get my questions answered, some of them were the same as yours. Can I bring someone?, will I get reimbursed?...etc.... He did give me some answers, but nothing was done about the problems I am having with my job rate not coming up as agreed in my assignments. The scheduler that called me said they are behind on emails by about 4500 emails!!!

You can only order what is laid out in the paperowrk you can look at it 3 days before your shop. If you buy anything else you have to get a seperate receipt...(what a dead give away to ask for a seperate receipt for an extra drink or a desert for a child or guest)

You can bring a guest to a dine in, but nothing else, you can't have anyone in the car with you even for a drive thru, and if they order anything they have to get their own receipt.

There is NO way to contact them if you have a problem. They don't answer emails, and there is no contact number that I can find anywhere. (I came on this board to try to find contact info for them!)

TIP: Don't sign up for jobs until the day before, shops incresase in price the closer it gets to the date. I signed up for shops when they were all $5, now they are all $10!!!
I can't even enter my report now as I did not write down the 4 digit code that's at the end of the instructions because after 8pm it disappeared. I emailed them and with the time difference who knows when it will get entered now.

They call several times a day offering piddly bonuses and shops miles away. I also agree that I don't like when I don't know what I can order until 3 days before. I finally got one of the callers to tell me in advance.
At this point, I am not going to complete any more shops for them until my questions are answered and the rate of pay under my assignments is correct, I am not going to do an assgnment than find out I am not getting the agreed upon rate. I fiure if I don't get my survey in on time, they will call wondering what happened. If they don't like it, I am in demand with other companies already...
They are located in Australia so there is a time difference involved and I am not sure that you would want to make an international call anyway. I did one shop for them and had a very difficult time too. There was a computer glitch and no one responded to my emails. Finally someone called me at 9pm when the report was overdue and we did it over the phone. Thank goodness I printed it all out, it just would not submit. He did say that the person in charge of the emails was on vacation so none of mine were received.
It's been 3 days, I stlll haven't heard from them. I did the shop, could not submit it as I had been locked out and now yesterday, I received an email saying the shop was cancelled and not to do it. However, I did it on Friday, am out some money and now I want to either submit it or get reimbursed for my food purchase.. Is there any other way to contact them the enquiry form?
Ill tell you what worked for me,I did the assignments, took notes, but didn't submit, within 2 days they called me, I explained the problems I was having, they appologized and fixed it all up. The people I talked with today said they are catching up on their enquiries as well. Hopefully it will work out for you as well.
I have an update on my issue. One week later, I finally received an email from Gapbuster. They apoligzed for the late reply but said I cannot get reimbursed for the shop that I did before the night was over and was cancelled the next day. I was told that it was my responsibility to download the work ahead of time.
I wasn't are of that it would disappear after two days otherwise I would have downloaded it and noted the code that we need in order to enter the report.

It's unrpofessional to cancel a shop on Sunday that I did on Saturday with no way to contact them nor them to respond back to me in a timely matter.

Morale is, read the paperwork immediately because it will disappear. The paperwork was 24 pages so it's not like I could print all of that at home; but I'd save it to the desk top.
If you live in rural Canada the bonuses for these shops right now are insane. Up to $130 from $5 initially! Looks like they are desperate to have them done by year end.
Yes the bonuses are great right now! I have done almost 25 shops for Gapbusters this month!!

You are so lucky, I really like their client and rarely find it shopped where I am. I keep looking at blank pull downs.
