Welcome, Amberly!

My suggestion is to read through the forum to get a feel for which companies are good and which are not-so-good. Sign up for multiple companies. Market Force is a good one to get your feet wet. They have easy fast food shops.

Never sign up for a company that requires you to pay them.

If you plan on doing mystery shopping regularly, it may be wise to invest in a digital camera, portable scanner, printer, etc.

Let me know if you have any questions. It can seem daunting in the beginning.

Start by reading the part of the forum entitled "New Mystery Shoppers" and you will learn tons! Sign up and try a few of the smaller shops, ask questions, and keep going. It gets easier as you go along, but being new to it is something you just have to plow through. We all did! I remember my first shop and being so nervous, wondering how on earth I could keep track of everything they wanted, but it worked out okay and I got better at it over time. Good luck!!!

im sorry i dont think many people want to live talk with a stranger...

shopping north west PA and south west ny
You've come to the right place. I am a new shopper and found the people here to be very helpful. Read all you can. Start at the new mystery shopper section. Then just take the plunge. Ya gotta just do it. One thing I found to calm my nerves was to prepare, prepare, prepare. I printed the guidelines for my first shop days ahead of time and studied it. Seems silly now, but 2 months ago I was a nervous wreck. Good luck to you!
Look for the "Sticky" posts at the start of each of the forums, they are chock full of useful information. I have found just about EVERYTHING posted by Flash, is awesome. She is the forum guru of all things mystery shopping. BARE is another good place to start. Can't mention the shops but they have pretty easy ones throughout the country.
Amberly - Hi. I'm here and I'm alive. Ask anything. I'll answer if I can. I don't want to talk on the phone, but I'm completely available online. Mary

Mary Davis Nowell. Based close to Fort Worth. Shopping Interstate 20 east and west, Interstate 35 north and south.

No live talk or walk here, but there's plenty of information. Read as much as you can. There's everything available here that you need to know to start mystery shopping.
