CORI: Why don't they post the shop fees????

Why don't they post the shop fees/ reimbursements upfront instead of forcing you to first qualify for the shop???

Are their fees still that obscenely low that they are too embarassed to divulge them??? LOL

What are they paying for that national shoe store chain assignment ??

Have not worked for them myself for several years now....

Thanks Much

Because they are cheapskates. They pay the lowest fees on the planet.

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
I signed up with them last night, spent 30 minutes just watching their video to qualify for a shop and nearly fell off my chair laughing when I finially could see what they pay.

For a detailed report on 6 associates and 4 departments, count customers in line and observe other customers interactions (as well as report on my own) the total they would pay is reimburse $1.00 and pay $4.00 for the shop.

My times worth alot more that $4.00 an hour. Is also worth alot more than $4.00 in the time it took just to qualify for the shop.

Sheesh.
I agree it is pointless, why not just make the shopper review the instructions and take a quiz after accepting the assignment like every other company. Sadly though it is a necesary evil if you want to work for them. Granted those shops start out low they usually get bonused to some extent every week and I just signed up to complete one of those jobs jterao was referring to for $40 in a nearby town. Plus a lot of their shops are good route fillers especially the gas stations that reimburse for gas.

If the job described is the one I'm thinking of it's not quite as involved as that and remember this is CORI so a "detailed" report is an exaggeration, LOL! I love it when they hit $20 to $50 and, depending the area, they will. Just last week if I had not been delayed by a day on a trip I would have been getting paid $50 for one of their 5 minute lunch/treat shops. I also could have had a $40 gas station audit and based on the size of that station and the limited traffic it would have taken about 15-20 minutes. My aversion to the bitter cold and 40 mph winds that day kept me from taking itsmiling smiley

I once did a CORI shop for >$70. Can't remember the exact amount. And I haven't seen a similar shop since...was an assisted living/alzheimer's facility.
I did three shops for them the other time. The total time from when I stepped out my door until I had the shops completely entered was under 90 minutes. I made $60 in fees and $15 in reimbursement. Of course I just looked at one that is offering a commission of $0.00 and a $2.00 reimbursement. Decided not to take that one yet!
yeah those are rediculous.. did one when i was starting out... toke me 45 min + in store... lots of writing...

nope...

i do the car wash shops for them... free wash, wax, and vacuum and $5 free gas... they are snapped up quickly now... no wonder... no test

i also do the mid-upper level home furnishings... $4 fee (usually bonused)- $7 comped... they have a good clearence section... test/no test?

after that its nothing... everything else is to much a pain in the neck...

Their clients will likley switch msc's when contract renewal time comes up and this seems to occur with most msc's.

I am guessing they outbid each other when the clients go bidding for their ms contracts.
They're kind of like fast food. Usually pretty cheap, but easy and abundant.

Their rural bonused shops are good for route running though.
CORI has been one that has maintained virtually the same client base and added a few in the few years I've been with them. I can think of one which has gone, but that is the pizza place that always used multiple companies anyway. Another retail job they had went to Market Force for a while, but has returned. Meanwhile, they've added several others. While I'm one of those people who waits for the fee to increase at least 5 to 10 fold, they must be able to save enough with all the fools that are willing to complete jobs for $3 to $5.

The assisted living shops are with another MSC that pays about $50 for the detailed report. Did one once and never again. It was very detailed. I never took one with CORI, but they frequently went to over $100 around here. Now, that was about what it SHOULD pay.

I always wait until they are getting desperate and send me the "commission on the rise in your area" email. Then I get to work. I just did four for them yesterday and did about $50 + $20 in reimbursement. Not bad at all and the reports were easy.
They have jobs, but, I just do not see these huge fees for jobs I am able to do... time consuming and not showing a fee...I just can't seem to connect with this system. I do live in a populated area, so maybe this won't work for me. I'd like to try one, but 11.00, up from 3....geez!

edited to add..even posting about them is confusing.

I watch their jobs from the middle of the month until the end. Have picked up quite a few$50.00 jobs....one for the Blue Box....
When you put a shop in your shopping cart but there are no dates to choose, does that mean the job is already taken, even though it shows on the board?
I'm not familiar with this particular MSC, but just as a matter of logic I recommend that you don't use them if they don't post fees. There are plenty of reliable MSC's out ther so simoply sign up for another one or 2. Try the MSPA, I don't think they can belong if they aren't reliable, although I'm not sure about this. Good luck in your endeavors.

It usually means there is an issue with rotation. If there is a 60 day rotation and you shopped it 50 days ago that will happen. Another scenario is when there must be 7 days between shops and another shopper has a date which blocks you from picking it up in their 3 day window.

They actually post fees, you just can't see them until you are "qualified" for that client. CoRI is actually quite reliable. They are also the kings and queens of the "how low can we go" game with fees. Some shoppers in more populated areas like Irene do not see commissions go very high. In other areas the commissions can get quite high and are teamed with some of the easiest reports you will find and a grading system that would give a report completed by your dog the highest possible score. Because of the huge disparity in commissions shoppers either love them or hate them.

MSPA membership is not a guarantee for shoppers that a company is reliable. It is an organization by MSC's and for MSC's.

Thanks Lisa,
Well the rotation does not apply to me, so maybe it's the other reason you give. Think I will try again.

If it's a job you really want to do don't hesitate to contact them. They've been downsized over the last couple of years and schedulers can be overworked, but most will try to help you out.
