I could really use some advice on some shopping companies

I recently signed up and did my first shop with Bestmark. So far so good. Since signing up with Bestmark Ive read that there are many other shopping companies. Some are good and some are bad. Is there any master list showing which are the best shopper companies to deal with so I can sign up with the 3-5 best and avoid the rest?

Thanks in advance.

Someone new joins and asks this question a couple of times a month. If you use the search feature you will see many, many discussions about this.

The answer to the question is difficult because there are so many things that come into play to make something a good company. The types of shops you want to do and your location being major factors. The best company for someone else may have nothing in your area.

If you click on the official list of mystery companies, you will see many companies listed there. You can go to their website or search for further information here. Many shoppers will apply for over 100 companies to find a dozen that fit their unique needs.
That's a great idea, Danillo, but the problem is that we differ in our choices of the best 3-5 companies. A couple of my favorites are not very popular with other shoppers, and some of the companies I don't work for are very popular. We all have different likes and dislikes. In addition, many companies have different clients in different parts of the country. A great company that I do a lot of work with may have no significant client in your part of the country and vice versa. Also, although I am signed up with about 150 or so companies, I usually work with no more than 20 or 30 in any month....because the jobs tend to come and go. It's a better idea to go to the list on this forum, [www.mysteryshopforum.com], and sign up with as many as possible. Then, before accepting a job with one, check it out by doing a search for the company on the forum to be sure it has not gotten terrible reviews.
It would be hard to name the best 3-5 MSCs...you know, different strokes for different folks.

Page down to the bottom of this forum, and you'll find a link to a list of companies. You can also go to the Volition web site as the have a more complete list. My advice would be to sign up for as many as you can. You can read postings on this forum to see some companies that you may want to pursue, and some you might want to avoid. Just take some of the negative postings with a grain of salt. Some of these are just rants on companies that may have not accepted the writers shop...they probably are lousy mystery shoppers, or at the very least did a bad shop or didn't follow instructions.

GOOD LUCK!

I appreciate the replies. I did a search and I found a similar thread that helped me out a lot. I found 4-6 that I may sign up with and see how it goes. I have a full time job so I will take it slow.

I have found that you need to keep signing up at companies until you find one that has options in your area. It can be frustrating until you hit a good one.
Sign up at archondev.com, jobslinger.com, and msjobboard.com

They are not shopping companie... They are the most commonly used job boards by ms companies.. They cove probably 80% of all companies...

Welcome to the forum and read as much as you can...
