No, but from what you sayn it might be a scam. Try running the companies name thru a Google trace and see what comes up. Good luck and good shopping.
While its possible that somebody on here might recognize the e-mail address you are going to have to provide some more information, like what company does she work for, are you signed up with that company, how did they get your name? Honestly I have never heard of a scam involving merchandising, it usually involves sending you a check and wanting you to cash it and "mystery shop" a western union. Though the AOL e-mail is a little strange, but I work with a legit company that I get e-mails from their scheduler from an AOL e-mail so who knows.

the retailer was walmart. no company name was given. Came from Wal-mart@Walmart.com. Signed by Sandra Task Coordinator WalMart Rebranding
The pieces do not add up. Why would Walmart rebrand????? Why is it a 'mslgcartier' on an email signed 'Sandra'? The aol address of course is a potential problem. Did they mention how they got your email address? Did your email provider give you the first hint by sending it to your junk mail? (Items from known junk mail addresses and items sent to too many people at once get picked up by many of the email junk filters.) Did it mention $$ that sounded too good (remember Walmart is a low paying employer and I doubt they would be generous with shoppers or merchandisers either).
I woudn't link on as it could infect your computer....doesn't sound like legit MSC work.

Live consciously....
There is no link, just ask for name address phone number, days and hours available. No mention of pay! I get theses type of e-mails all the time generally saying will be paid 100 to 200 per shop!
On the Walmart website they have a list of scams, including "Walmart Rebranding Mystery Shopper Scam."

I have not found a Sandra, but posted on Anti-Fraud Internation.org is Charles Carter, Task Co-ordinator, Wal-mart rebranding. Last time I looked it was not spelled with a hyphen. Usually blatant spelling and grammatical mistakes are a dead giveaway.
