A Closer Look - Anyone else having difficulty getting reimbursement??

I am concerned because for the second month in a row my reimbursement check form A Closer Look is late. It says on the site that it was mailed on 8/22 ...but as of today I have not received it. Last month it took almost 30 days after the system showed that is was sent out before I received it.

I am just curious if this is typical of A Closer Look.

I would contact them. My check for July work was in my hands on 8/25. I expect my payment for August work will be in my hands on 9/29 since their payment date for it is scheduled for 9/26. I have never had them not pay like clockwork.
I was called by Certified Field Associates, they were in a real spot and needed help. They wanted me to do four jobs that required traveling over 700 miles. We agreed that they would pay me $400.00 for all four jobs. They were reluctant because I had never done a reset job, but they couldn't find anyone else. Two days later I went and did the jobs. Seventeen hours later and over $200.00 in gas, I finished the jobs. I had trouble with the web site and didn't understand some of it so my reports were screwed up. It was a week end so I thought it could wait. Wrong. They removed the jobs from the web site and now won't pay me because my reports are all wrong. That was three weeks ago. Do not trust these people.
Thanks Flash. It's good to hear you have never had an issue getting paid by them. I have enjoyed shopping for them though generally their shops don't involve any compensation. The website is great and so are the staff.

I checked the mail just now and still no check. I did contact A Closer look both last month when my check was late; and again this month. Both times they told me I needed to wait at least 30 days after the check was issued before they can do anything about it. I was not so concerned when it happened once....but this is two months in a row.
That is unusual. Odd things can happen with a first check from a company (I had one send my first payment to a person with the same name in another part of the country who shopped for them in the past and another company send a first check to a wrong address they had entered in their system erroneously), but since you have received one check at least, one has to assume that any goofs like that have been cleaned up already. With a little more than a week left before 30 days has elapsed, I would probably wait and when I called them again ask that they double check your mailing information since this is two months in a row that there is an issue. Meanwhile you may want to check your profile to make certain for yourself that everything there is accurate.

My interactions with them have all been highly professional and there never has felt like there was any shadiness or wink wink involved. My sense is that they are a financially sound company with no reason to 'rob Peter to pay Paul'. So my reaction is there is a slip up here that both they and you would want to have rectified.
I been shopping for them for about 6 months. I did not have this issue with the first several checks....though they did seem to take a long time in the mail. I have checked my profile and address and all is ok. Perhaps it is the particular person who issues my checks.

I sought out this forum to check them out closer; so I feel better now. Thank you.
I've worked with A Closer Look for over 3 years and have never had an issue with payment. They are one of the most professional companies I've dealt with.
Beachie. Thank you ....I think there must just be a mix-up with my checks for some reason. I agree they are very professional and I enjoy shopping for them.
I also have never had never had a single issue with payment from them. Checks always arrive on time without any follow up.
