Grammy Strip Show

Was anyone else who watched the Grammy Awards disgusted with what it’s morphed into? with most of the female singers resorting to turning their performance into an obscene strip show, outfit and all? I had to shut it off.
It’s so obviously fixed now. It was a foregone conclusion that Beyoncé was going to win best album - which she and her husband paid for after making an ass out of himself last year complaining about the ‘metrics’ of his narcissistic wife never winning for best album. Be glad for all of the mostly undeserved nominations to begin with. He was there to accept a lifetime achievement award and thumbed his nose at everyone like a total jerk. She hasn’t put out a decent song for decades, what do you expect? Having Taylor Swift announcing her win for the one song that gets minimal airplay on the radio was also a set up. They hate the fact that Taylor has eclipsed het, which is the reason she went country to begin with.
Beyoncé wasn’t even sitting next to her husband. What’s up with that? She was at the front of the table acting like she’s Cleopatra, which is getting really old. Hubby and child barely got up to congratulate her. Then she brings her daughter on stage like a prop. Isn’t her kid 12 years old? What was she even doing at a practically X rated show to begin with? It won’t be long before their twins get shoved into the spotlight to act as her admirers.
Having not seen her in a while I was wondering when she turned into a blonde Caucasian? The contrast with her daughter was a bit sad. Like Bobby Kristina she probably doesn’t want the spotlight at such a young age. Give her a shot at a normal, happy childhood and call it a career.

I stopped watching it several years ago after observing what it had become. Lost interest. I cannot abide corporate created and driven music.
I did see the nudity/near nudity acts highlighted in the news yesterday.
Yawn. There's so much nudity freely available now, who cares?
If people stopped paying attention, these so-called celebs would stop posing.
Say whatever you want about those who live for the attention.

I haven't watched this or much TV in a long time. I heard this year it was much more based on popularity. I think there was something going around that Beyonce got snubbed for a past album.

The other thing was that Kendrick Lamar pretty much squashed Drake.
Once upon a time, the grammys didn't keep up with the times and rock n roll was never considered for awards. When they finally started paying attention to contemporary music was after the rock n roll that I listen to was considered "oldies" and then disco and rap happened. Back then, the only person that showed up nearly naked was Cher.

I don't watch any awards shows, or any tabloid tv "news" shows anymore.

The entire entertainment industry is desperate to stay in the spotlight whether with good or bad publicity (and occasionally talent). I detest what it has become and removed myself from it years ago.
I didn't watch the Grammy Awards, but I did see what Kanye's wife had on (pretty much nothing).
I'm a little intrigued now and may watch some clips. Beyonce, Taylor, Kanye. I can't help but think of 2009 VMAs.
The only mildly entertaining thing was Benson Boone’s (best new artist nominee) back and side flips off of a grand piano and at floor level in what appeared to be slippery, flat soled dress shoes. The popular thing to do now is have the back up dancers rip off the singer’s tacky ensemble to reveal usually a risqué bodysuit. STOP THE PRESSES!!!

Benson pulled the same stunt but his started at a table in the audience. When he stood up and pulled a mic out of his formal suit, 2 women at his table ripped the suit off. Well, Heidi Klum tried, but was not successful the first time, which was not the least bit surprising. He rocked a baby blue onesie figure skating suit with a wide, plunging neckline down to his belly button, that would put Freddy Mercury on notice. And I believe this guy is straight.

I don’t get what genre the Gen Z music falls under. The guys sound mumbly and folksy, devoid of any musical talent with whatever bizarre instrument they’re playing. The young women all sound the same with the whispery, high pitched baby talk voice where they can’t enunciate the letter L without sounding like they have a stuffy nose. It’s no wonder girls are flocking to Taylor Swift. At least there’s some semblance of normal with her, even though all of her songs sound the same.
Every generation has had crappy music ! Early Beatles (bubblegum pop) ugh ! Folk music, spoken word and country music forever has sucked ! Michael Jackson came along (different pop music). But, your whining about sex and nudity, Madonna did all that in the 80's ! Your problem is listening to pop music in the first place ! Plus, you know too much about their personal lives ! Who cares ! They don't care about you, so why waste your time following their lives ??? What does that even do for you ? I love AC/DC forever, I don't know anything about their wives, kids or even where they live ! Seether, Chevelle, Sugartooth, I mother earth and The tea party. All are really good rock/hard rock groups. I don't want to upset the "old grumpy people", but heavy metal is still going strong !
