You're absolutely right it feels like the landscape has changed so much over the years. I've noticed the same thing with merchandising and mystery shopping. The pay doesn't seem to reflect the amount of work or experience anymore. Technology has streamlined a lot but I agree that something is lost when everything is done online. Face to face interviews were such a great way to build connections and really get a feel for the job and the company.
