Instant Pots?

I'm probably the last person in America to buy an Instant Pot.
I'm thinking of buying one. Do you like yours? use it often? favorite use for it?

Don't have one. No plans to get one. Should be interesting to find out what others post...

Bach is not noise, Madam. (Robert, in Two's Company)
I own a pressure cooker, but not an instant pot. I won't buy one, at least not in this lifetime.
You know I too feel that this community is an excellent place to ask for your question. I believe you'll get helpful feedback for your question.
Even though it's not mystery shopping relating. I feel like it's a community.
I don't have one. My Sis in law bought a second one. She really finds them worthwhile.
She does cook for large groups. She likes cooking beans quickly, for example.
I'm not sure what it's called, but I think it's a crockpot. I use an old one from a neighbor. I think it's the opposite, where it's a slow overnight cooker. I use it cook small hens for a soup/broth. It gets quite tender and falls of the bone.
Slow cookers and instant pots are like polar opposites.. instant pots are just smaller easier to use pressure cookers.
Somehow my son ended up with 2 instant pots a few years ago & offered one to me. I asked how long it took to cook different items. What I heard him reply was that the time depends on what is being cooked and there was no way to know ahead of time. Not wanting to learn a new method of cooking after over 40 years of putting meals on the table I decline the machine.
No Instant Pot here, and no plants to get one. I bought a nice Nesco pressure cooker from Amazon last year. It works great, and I can use it for canning, too.

There is the truth.
Then there is the right thing to say.
I bought an electric pressure cooker over 10 years ago and feel it functions similar to an instant pot. I adapt instant pot recipes to it and seems pretty equivalent.
Don't have an instapot. (Wasn't there a thread last year?) Last year someone gave me an air fryer. I loved it, used it frequently, and everything came out tasting great. Now it is forgotten in the cabinet because it took up too much counter space. But I still love my rice cooker.
I've been offered instant pots for Christmas, birthdays, etc. I keep declining them. I don't need anything else on my kitchen counters or cabinets to take more room. I've had so many different "cool gadgets" and barely ever use them. They just sit until I end up getting rid of them. I like cooking on my stove or grill instead.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Ark, my son has taken to stacking my small appliances on the floor in the middle of the kitchen when they get in his way. I need one of those metal prep tables to put a power strip on where they will all fit.
I have the 6 quart and a 3 quart. I love mine and use it several times a week. It makes the quickest and easiest hard boiled eggs. They literally slip out of their shells with no hard work. But I also use it for air frying with the Air fryer lid attachment and everything goes right in the dishwasher. In the winter, I use it more frequently. I've never been much of a Crock-Pot girl but the Instant Pot gives me much better results with a lot more flexibility. Everything can go from Frozen to dinner without me having to babysit. It makes the best rice and I make my own yogurt.
Preparing hard boil eggs the traditional was always a pain to me. I use the hard boil egg cooker from Dash. It's pretty cheap. I think I got it from a Target pick-up shop. There's different settings like having it a little runny.
I've struggled in the past with peeling hard cooked eggs....the frustration...ugh

I like the idea of placing meat and veggies inside, even if staggered timing and having everything come out of one pot to cook/clean, with retained nutrients, as much as reasonable.

I can only do soup so many days in a row lol.

I love my Instant Pot.but I have not used the slow cooker or yogurt making feature. I prefer the ceramic vessel and shape, size of my slow cooker. I would never attempt to make yogurt nor have I ever researched or considered it; Chobani for us. I make pasta, potatoes, sweet potatoes, risotto, hard boiled eggs, kombucha squash, eggplant, lentils, sauteed veggies, kidney beans, rice pudding, cauliflower, chicken cutlets in broth with onions, vegetarian pot roast and various soups Love it!
