I have a friend in Manatee County (near Tampa) whose area is being evacuated as of 2PM
tomorrow.
For all of our Florida shopper friends...please be safe.

I know a bunch of folks in FL.. some I like a LOT more than they'll ever know or understand, some of these folks are going to be hit twice in two weeks. In fact, Janis Ian just lost a HUGE amount of memorabilia, 2 cars, and vintage guitars and other instruments to Helene, and now they are going to get hit again by Milton. Why she left central TN to move to an island in FL has baffled me since they moved. I also have a bunch of folks I'm very good friends with in TN, NC, SC and GA that were seriously impacted by Helene.

I wasn't aware that she had moved....all I knew of her in recent years was that someone I know - who used to be a big deal years ago at Peaches in St. Petersburg FL, helped her whenever she played shows in the area....whenever well known acts play there, this friend of mine drives them around, has dinner with them...etc all through her connections from Peaches and Peaches has been closed since forever....I miss them. I miss Tower Records too. Watching the weather news....makes me worry a bit. I still have possessions in storage there....but life and limb obviously are the biggest concern.
