Mistakes to Avoid Late at Night & Before Going to Bed

#1) Uploading a photo of your ex-wife to an AI age advance tool. I cannot unsee what I just saw, and I am really fearful she will haunt me in my morning dreams.

reading a mystery book about a cabin in the woods of Maine while in a cabin in the woods of Maine

(PS/my unsolicited advice is to put the ex-s in the rearview if possible)

Not going with decaf after the second cup of coffee. After the second cup, it becomes a net loss for me. I wake up sore.

To add on, if I'm leaving the house early in the morning, opting to delay packing, basic hygiene, and exercise. It just ends up biting me later and becoming a circus the next morning. I'm more of a night owl and better off doing it during the night.

Do NOT take a shower before bed. At least for me, showers are morning things, I can't lay down and sleep afterward, I have to get dressed and DO something, anything. If I try to go to bed after taking a shower all I do is toss and turn and stare at the dark ceiling, sleep is not gonna happen.

If I'm stinky, sticky or sweaty, a damp wash cloth with soap or some rubbing alcohol fixes that so that I can still sleep. I brush my teeth before bed, and if I wake up in the middle of the night with "xactly mouth" I'll brush again.

Not even hot showers before bed and cold showers in the morning?! If I'm at home, I tend to skip a shower here and there. But I plan to shampoo with multiple days in between at night. Have to keep those natural oils and volume.

I don't understand how folks wash their hair every day. The most often I've ever been able to is every other day. If I wash it every day it gets brittle and frizzy. It's better if I leave it 3 or 4 days, and my hair is less gray when I wash my hair less frequently.
Fun to know how different we all are. Anyway, for me--and maybe only for me-- it is good not to eat nighttime snacks.

YEA, I have nightmares when I eat the wrong thing before bed. I've been trying not to eat anything at all after midnight, that seems to help.
I had a dream recently. I wouldn't classify it as a full-on nightmare though. During said dream, I woke up and went to brush my teeth. When I opened my mouth facing the mirror, one side of my mouth, had all of the teeth chipped in half. It was so vivid and realistic, that I woke up instantly in somewhat of a sweat. In reality, it had been a couple of nights that I had fallen asleep without brushing my teeth. Oh gosh, that kicked me back into gear to get back on a routine!

Can vouch for having caffeine too late in the evening. Here I am now awake and should be asleep....ugh
