Why did you choose your screen name? Part II

I came across an older thread that asked this question, but it's been closed to new replies. I think it's worth bringing back, so....why did you choose your screen name?

People think I work in veterinary medicine, but I don't. I've been a lifelong fan of Snoopy and the Peanuts cartoon characters, and I used to collect stuffed Snoopy dolls with him dressed in different outfits (astronaut, Joe Cool, businessman, Flying Ace, artist, etc.) I still have most of them, and my favorite has always been the doctor doggie - Snoopy dressed in green surgical scrubs, cap, and mask. I liked it so much that I even had it tattooed on the back of my shoulder.

No specific reason. From my experience, most of the people I know that are from Oklahoma tend to be kind, down to earth, humble, hard-working, low-key smart, and have a good sense of humor. Also, my first mystery shop was a Sonic within walking distance of my house. Another Sonic shop could have potentially been my last within the first couple of months I started, but I was given a second chance. I still see that invalid shop with the previous MSC, and I guess serves as a reminder about proving those who give you second chances right.

Editing to add on, just jogged my memory that I ordered a Snoopy Flying Ace and Woodstock from Build-A-Bear a while back but never opened. Need to look for that in my pile of packages. Also, remember a one-time Disney Store shop I did back some years back with a large purchase reimbursement. They were having a sale that day if you purchased a $75 plush, you get a second for $1.

Long ago. before most folks had access to what we now know as the Internet, AOL had a board where you could ask travel questions about any country. So, I asked about Wales, because I planned to go there. No replies, for weeks. So, when I was there I visited Tourist Info Centers in each city that I visited and brought home a ton of brochures, bus and rail time tables and also my own discoveries. I planned to return to Wales as soon as I could afford to and in the meanwhile, used all of this to post info on Wales on that site. When someone referred to me a "Walesmaven" I changed by screen name. . The site is long gone, but I did travel in Wales more than 10 times. (And, no, I have no Welsh heritage.)

Datagirl because my full time job is just that. I work for a kidney transplant program and i handle all kinds of data, excel spreadsheets galore, i manage the database, i do reports, i report our info to UNOS. I could go on and on but data is life for me. Lol

I'm from Indiana, so our nickname is Hoosiers. I chose the spelling which is pronounced the same. Also, it fits the story my dad told me of the origin of the word, Hoosier.

I do not do very much social media. I used to live on it...had to, as it was so intertwined with my work. Then I got rid of it all. It had literally been years since I had to create a username for social media. My former usernames played off of my former career, and since I don't do that stuff anymore (keep your mind out of the gutter, @drdoggie00) I had no idea what username to pick. I looked above my desk where, at the time, I had hanging on the wall several award plaques that were part of a TV program set. The first plaque that hit my gaze was one titled "Service Award" and it hung on the wall of one of the sets for many years. It hit me that an employee in a retail or service setting might receive a service award, so I thought it made for a fitting name given this industry.

So, drdoggie, why the 00? Are those snoopy eyes? Did you graduate college then? Did you get married then? Are those 00 something really sinister?

Service Award -your story reminds me of a time when I worked in a corporate office and we had to change our network PW fairly often. I grew tired of pets' names and so I would look around my desk and pick a PW such as Kleenex*24 or Stapler$99.

None of the above. -lol- 'drdoggie' used to be my username for everything, but it was only a matter of time until I came across a site that required numerals (or more than eight characters), so that's how drdoggie00 came to be.

Haha, I was a lurker for several months. I had no plans to post. I'm not sure what got my attention to post. I know it WASN'T, "Can someone please tell me what businesses are shopped in ABC town and what mystery shopping companies have those businesses, then can you tell me what the guidelines say so I don't have to read them?" .

And, it definitely wasn't, "MSC XYZ is so mean they rejected my report because I did not take provide a picture. I know the guidelines said to provide this picture, but I thought I was special and didn't have to follow that guideline! The nerve of them! I am never shopping for them again.....until I really need that $9 shop they offer then I will ask if I should take it because I'm asking because I was outed on the last shop for that client and maybe I should have told the MSC about it because they will love to hear that If I do take that $9 shop they better not give me a 9 on it because I'll be back here to tell everybody about it because I only deserve 10s because I am a Super Olympian Shopper and I am typing in run-on sentences because the editors love it when I do!"

27 years ago I made my own email account. cooldude was already taken. The provider suggested cooldude581. And 469,800 unanswered emails later... The rest is history. I can only see up to three years back I don't know why the number keeps going up. w/e

My family's nickname for me is Ebit, I use a variation of this for every screen name, with numbers added on when there are other Ebits. This nicname was invented by my nephew when I was a teenager, as it was how he said my actual name, "Elizabeth"
