Ok, it's almost NYE, what are you planning?

Me? I'm staying in and having a private celebration with my spouse along with a bottle of Italian Prosecco.

Daytime: house cleaning tasks. want to start the new year in a place that is easy to maintain. Evening: not much. unless you count planning the next reading list.

I have been wanting to go through all of our Christmas decorations for years now. My daughter is home from college now so we plan to take it all out of the attic, go through it, organize it, take pics of everything we have so we can reference it, label it all and put it away. I am not sure this is just a one day task!!

I'll have my head under the covers, cursing the boobs outside who insist on having their own fireworks display.

Yes, I'm THAT person.

I fully understand. I always liked fireworks as a kid. But it's overdone now. There are so many communities and major events that do it better than shooting a "consumer" version off in your backyard. Go see those, please. We were lucky our dogs didn't get visibly disturbed by it and would sleep through most. I don't even mind our rural house area with residents shooting off pistols for target practice during the remainder of the year. It's the BIG guns being fired that can be jarring. (I have a permit)

I treasure my peace and quiet 365, mav. The only thing I want to hear are the cows mooing out back.
