July9: Sugar Cookies and Fashion

Is the sugar cookie used as is and sometimes as the basis for other recipes? Think I once heard someone talking about a big batch of basic dough that was divided for multiple cookie recipes... will look that up sometime.

Any must munch fave sugar cookie recipes? Any fashionistas? Any fashionistas who bake?

Here's what you are looking for:

My amazing Mom creates a basic cookie dough. Christmas cookies are amazing, delicious and varied. She never follows a recipe; it's instinctual. I find myself doing the same now.; not so much with baking as I am not there yet but with cooking. Now, define what a fashionista is to you. I have to laugh a bit as there is a self proclaimed "fashionista" at my workplace. I define it as someone having their own recognizable style. I like it when people say that is ZZZ or XXX would love that. Are you a fashionista SEA? Anyone? Great topic SEA!
@Madetoshop: I am neither fashionista nor great baker. However, I can bake some breads, cakes, bars, and cookies. My fave cookie comes from old recipe that taught me years ago to be careful with the mace.

And SEA can make soups, too, and read several books a month. She is a special type of fashionista, but too humble to say so.
LOLOL! Fashion, Schmashion! I need midi skirts and dresses to cover my leg wraps. On short me ,this just looks frumpy. Add in comfortable shoes and you have the recipe for dowdy, too... grinning smiley
