I chose "stilllearning" because mystery shopping was an exciting new experience, and enabled me to
continually learn something new.

I am not of Welsh decent, but have been to Wa;es more than a dozen times.

When I joined the forum I had spent hours that day signing up with mystery shopping companies; I was too tired to think of a clever name and it was 7:24 in the evening. Hence 7:24PM

Mine is my business name.

My full time job is a data manager so.... there you have it. I basically live in excel spreadsheets and databases, analyzing data. Yawn!!! Its a good job though.

I started using the forum as a lurker and found many long-time shoppers at the time giving helpful, valuable advice. As I was still learning, just like stilllearning, I chose mystery2me because so there was so much left to learn, much was still a mystery to me, plus it had the word mystery in it, lol.

There are still many, many here who are helpful, and I still learn a lot, but several years ago there were some shoppers who really gave good, thoughtful and sage advice. I won't try to name them becuase I don't remember all the names and will leave some out. Most are not active now, escept for walesmaven.

Because I am "Guy's mom"!! Have been for almost 35 years now.

So way back in the mid '00's for some reason it struck me that it would be cool to use "Stormy" as an online handle. Something about it just clicked with me.

Then around 2009-ish or so, when I wanted to start trying different small home/self-employed business ideas, I wanted a name for my potential future little businesses, that I could get an email associated with and stuff.

A potential little cluster of businesses soon made me think of a little cloud, which, it seemed to me that would combine nicely with my online handle -- stormcloud! Originally stylized as "StormCloud" but now I prefer all lower case due to the influence of coding styling, haha!

It turns out that while I did indeed do MS'ing as a business from 2010 to 2015... in 2015 I went back to school and got a degree in computer science. I used "stormy" as my online handle for all the school message boards and stuff for five years too!

Now I work -- 100% from home -- as a web developer and I love it. I still do occasional online-only MS'ing because some of it pays nicely for the amount of effort and time involved, and they are interesting! I do not regret my five years MS'ing at all -- a lot of it was a lot of fun! -- and later it got me some attention on my resume even!

Also recently put together the MSC spreadsheet with the help of @stilllearning and @pjd123, and many others' contributions of data or info to put in it, and checking website addresses and stuff! I enjoyed that as well and hopefully it helps current MS'ers!

I too have noticed a lot of the old-school -- as in, "when I was actively MS'ing" -- people don't seem to be around anymore either. Some were active as recently as a year or two ago though.

I started shopping in 2018, stumbled across this forum, and needed a screen name. I hate picking screen names- I can never think of anything. I had just booked a surf trip to Bocas del Toro and was desperate for a screen name so there you have it. Too bad it doesn't work for passwords. I hate those too.

I intended to indicate mystery shops and other gigs. I wish I could get a different username.

I am very frugal with my money and I am also a crazy cat lady.

cjb are my initials, star was a horse I used to have,
