after finishing all the sherloch holmes for probably the 3rd or 4th time i have moved on to henry poirot/agatha christie. the language is a bit out of date and causes me to think and look up different words.
Nora Roberts is my favorite author, and I loved this trilogy! I'm in the middle of her stand alone, Legacy right now. I'm a librarian, so big fan of this thread.

I am reading a book by Nora Roberts "Year One." It is good reading and interesting.
I'm a librarian, so lots of book hopping, but for my students I'm currently reading a YA novel, American Street by Ibi Zaboi which is fantastic, along with the Nora Roberts book I mentioned above. I'm also working on How to Stop Time by Matt Haig because I recently read The Midnight Library by him which was great!
Just finished "A Stained White Radiance" by James Lee Burke. Dark detective novel, part of the Dave Robicheaux series.
Starting "The Evening and the Morning" by Ken Follet. Great historical fiction, prequel to the Kingsbridge Trilogy.

mystery-to-me: I rolled my eyes when I started this book that had been recommended. When I saw the time period (middle ages) I thought I will give it 50 pages, as it is a LONG book. I was hooked immediately and really, really enjoyed this, my first Follett book.
I agree, she emphasizes the wrong phrases or something. I've taken so long to read it, so, when the audio version came available from the library I decided to listen. Listening at slightly faster pace while driving. When I catch up, I'll read the rest of the book.
I'm reading a collection of short stories called Mi Tierra, Mi Pueblo, Mi Gente by John Daly. It's for learners of intermediate level Spanish, written to help improve one's ability to read and understand the language.
