We are well off the main road so have never gotten a trick-or-treater at the house, Several years ago my son bought a house in very social family neighborhood. There is a lot of informal parking on a couple of vacant lots at the head of the street that comes into the neighborhood and the street gets mostly blocked except for ATVs, golf carts and trucks pulling hay wagons. Our tradition now is to go to my son's house and take our lawn chairs to the end of his driveway to watch the parade of kids. This year we doled out 18.6 pounds of candy in slightly under 2 hours. It was great fun.
