I got a priority envelope yesterday and found a $250.00 check from A Closer Look. With my name on it! On the memo line, it read: "ACL May Contest Winner". I hadn't realized I was even entered - I haven't done any shops for them in over a year but did three shops last May that were in my area, and that didn't require me to spend hours on narratives.
Quite a surprise since ACL didn't inform me that I had won. Deposited the check today.
I'm pleasantly surprised.
