Sent in a request for 19 February shops; perused early job postings for several MSCs without finding any useful hotel shops. Treated myself to a sinful corned beef and pastrami Ruben for lunch. (Well, brought home half of it for tomorrow or Wednesday's lunch, actually).

I am trying to go to Vegas next month per my MSC (who asked), and cannot find a hotel job as well.
Paying for my hotel isn't working, will keep trying, did see a great price for a hotel I like on Groupon, 45% off.
Jobs seem to be late night clubs...
and no upscale retail, which I enjoy.
Wales, I haven't had a Pastrami sandwich for ages...enjoy!

I got paid to take a nice drive today. The weather warmed up to 61 and it was supposed to rain but it didn't, not much anyway. The sun came out for a little while. Nice change from last week! I was doing an unannounced audit for a quality assurance company using an app that scans the barcode and I can enter the entire report on my phone. Love them that they pay mileage and hourly for drive time. Visited 7 stores and drove a total 100 mile trip. Left at 11 a.m. and was home in time for happy hour!
I went and id to maerchanzing jobs , I will make chili dogs for supper in just a little bit. I was supposed to get my eyes opertion on today but it has be pushed back in the 12th of Feb.

Interesting day so far and it's only 11:47. I dress up wearing makeup (for a change) and go to Trader Joes at 8:00 am, as I'm out of coffee. Going to my car, a guy looking to be in his early 50's says to me, "I have to tell you, you are stunning, the way your dressed, your style and looks, a very beautiful woman....WHAT!!!!! I reply, after looking around to see who he's talking to, and it's me. I, in my (charming) way say "Do you know how old I am"?
He says age is just a # look at you, and I must say this made my day. Renewed confidence......the question is:

Good for you, Irene. No makeup here, unless you count making up for lost time. After the crud and a few cruddy reports, I have an opportunity to make up for my recent wretchedness. So far, my report is decent. I have made assorted improvements. I hope the editors like it...

Allergist appt., they got the new pill in for my dust allergy, but I'm told there may be severe side problems, like hives and extreme itching. Have to take the first pill in there office and wait half hour, if I get the side effect, they have a injection they give...The pill is not yet insured and pricey...will find out tomorrow all details....oy vey!

Time to inventory the freezer so that I know before I excavate whether or not I still have something in stock. Also finishing one report, doing hand laundry, making a call to establish first visit with a new primary care doc, plus a LOT of kitchen clean-up.

On my do to list for today clean house , and wash floors, have quite time, make supper for open face meatloaf sanwhiches. I have to look for more work. I will need to run to the store for some things.
Went to Allergist for the new pill for dust/pollution. Supposed to be a wonder pill, waited 6 months and it's in......
The Dr. tells me it's not insured, office called for me and was refused, the cost is $300.00 ,not knowing if it will work, as it has side effects that needs a shot...oh well, I'll have to live with this problem.....damn it!!!

There was a Shark Tank episode where the guy was selling nostrile covers, that apparently could not be detected, for allergies, flu season etc. That might be an option @Irene_L.A.
No, dust allergies are very common where I live, I wouldn't walk around with dust covers, plus it's like a bandage, not a solution....I do watch Shark Tank,...hum, where would you buy them, I'd wear them (maybe) around the house....@spicy1 wrote:

was told to take my drops twice a day instead of once and given a sample of a new pill (for me) not new, but not expecting any change, maybe I'll be wrong....thx

Playing between jobs. Yay! I am also planning to resurrect my own little not-quite-scientific project in which I study the current stock at a dollar-type store and determine what is a value and how various things can be used. The last time I did this, I saved more than $80 in a one-month budget. I wonder what is possible for the upcoming budget... Hmmmm.....
