What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Whoops!

Aroma bliss is that satisfying earthy meld of good things from the earth. Yum! This stew was made to the tunes of all kinds of seasonal music. Somewhere in that is a connection...

Went to a Christmas market. Productive while listening to my book that is due tomorrow.
I watched my sweet little cat sitting in a sunbeam. She is so precious!

Home physically from work early and so deserved. I am doing laundry, working and talking to furry baby love. It will be a mothers and daughters crafters marathon with my Mom as leader. Cannot wait!
Counting down the days until scheduled auto repair. Enjoying warm-for-December days. Immersed in the current reading theme.

Hubby is having some friends bring in lunch. As he still can't put any weight on his broken ankle leg I did a small straightening of the common areas of the condo before I left to cook at the church.

Quick little road trip for necessary hubby errand yesterday. No time to add gigs but wondered about the gig value of the day. (Not bad, for someone with the time.) Maybe someday... Remembered prince's amusing mandatory question from another thread while in natural products store and was glad to be on my own time there. For giggles, briefly looked at weight loss products to see if anything was labeled specifically for belly fat, apple/otherwise skinny types, etc. before going to my real destination. Nothing. On to my purpose. Two little questions later, I had my super-gentle product for skin that is now old and sensitive enough to need to be babied. This product already is soothing and comforting the tender parts, and if necessary I can get additional products from this new-to-me brand. Wishing I could be early me who could wear any frivolous shoe and put any imaginable crrp on my skin...

Getting Christmas packages to children/grandchildren ready to be mailed. I was excited to realize that our last Kohl's order came in a plastic bag big enough to turn inside out and enclose one of the California boxes. Now there's no extra expense OR weight!

A trip with stops at 2 banks and then at the huge grocery store that I only visit when I need items that Aldi either does not stock at all or only stocks in sizes not useful for my needs. Later today, a trip 1 mile in the opposite direction to collect an Rx, pick up a free reward pizza and grab a few items at Aldi. All 3 locations are in a 1 block small shopping area with good parking so it will be an easy trip.

Got back from Roma. How was it? We came, we saw, we conquered. We left it in ruins. You heard this before? smiling smiley We had a great time!
So excited. Received the succulent plants in burlap bags today for guest gifts this weekend. Will have my sister's family overnight this weekend. EVERYONE LOVES MY MAMA! We so wish baby furry love could attend. My neighbor will watch him.
Grade one today with a student teacher running the classroom. Tried to learn which Fitbit might have a skating setting for Hubby to wear to hockey. No luck.
During my walk I came across a table with bunches of flowers, and a sign that said they were free. I brought two bunches home.

Relishing housework-free weekend. ! Car will be in shop for at least one day and we will not go anywhere. That is the time to catch up on the house tasks. Pesky ol' perfectionist me thinks this is perfect. Could this be progress?!

Admiring the unexpected inch or more of snow here. Yesterday was 55-60F; with heavy rain. Overnight temps plunged and apparently when the rain turned to snow, the ground was just cold enough to keep it as snow until morning. Sunshine and warming will probably melt it soon, but it sure is pretty. Glad I am not doing a morning commute, though.

Hubby had follow up appointment after ankle surgery. Splint was removed, healing pronounced good, and he left with a boot that he can take off occasionally. Still has to use knee walker (no weight bearing for three more weeks), but he can start physical therapy.

We celebrated by stopping by the mall to walk around a little bit, then got lunch on the way home.

Today is the last day of my MUSIC1520 Intro To MIDI and Electronic Composition class at Salt Lake Community College.

There are no final exams for this one.

Students present a 2- to 3-minute piece of music they've created (hopefully) using techniques they have learned this semester.

THEN it's on to shopping: hitting the road for 5 Exxons in the Pocatello, Idaho area this evening before winding up in Idaho Falls for the first night out. This loop is a total of 15 gas stations, most with OK bonuses, a drive-in burger joint with a small bonus, a checking account opening with a huge bonus, and a car wash.

That take me to Wednesday afternoon, and the next stop is back on campus for the final presentations (similar format) for the Basic Audio Production class I teach.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Subbed half a day for 4th grade. Ambitious me has taken the whole week subbing although each day is a half day. If I can make all those 5 days, that would be a new achievement for me. Fingers crossed.
Dogmatic me (woof!) declares that home is good enough now and I can get back to my holiday reading plan.

Housework-laden weekend, offset by fabulous music. Somehow, it's a win.

I should be cleaning up my kitchen. Instead, I am having a glass of wine and chilling with the cat.

Honny, my kitchen is a disaster area and I have no cat to chill with while I ignore that for a few more hours. Do you suppose that just wine would do the trick?

Wine would definitely help ignore any pending tasks.
Alas, I am having a treat free day. Surly, I can do one.
