What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Tasky. Appointment, phone calls, organize forms and documents. It is too cold to walk on the patio as I did yesterday, but I will do my laps indoors. Tomorrow will be busy with appointments and errands.

I did a WaWa shop after work. The location is 6 miles from my house. With rush hour traffic, it took me an hour.

Subbing at Hutterite Colony today.
Unpacking my suitcase, cleaning the whole house, uncluttering it and organizing everything, bike ride so my legs are stronger skiing next month!
Cuddling my cat, who missed me.
That should take me to bed time. LOL

Just trying to increase my walking and activity minutes. So far, so good.

I need a new mattress so I went to the end of the internet looking for a great deal. I found one at one of the places we shop. I got all the bells and whistles. I scheduled delivery for next Thursday when I will be home.
After waking up with more aches and pains than not, I changed delivery to tomorrow afternoon.

My little cat is not allowed on this bed.

I was in the Wayfair app looking at random, useless items. I came across the open box section. The open box items were more expensive than the equivalent new items. I don't think they get the concept.

Okay, the house does not look uncluttered or clean this am.
So, try again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
From immobile blob to thrilled with almost 100 yards of walking, to 1500 feet so far today and a plan (which includes some serious grit) to walk 2100 feet before bedtime. This will not happen every day. I just have to push on because the next milestone will be 3,000 feet. Go me.

My maatress was delivered. They did not deliver the adjustable base, which was free. The cat spazzed out when she saw the delivery men. I slept so well. I have to clean out my fridge.

Walked more than 3,000 feet yesterday. Aiming for 3,600 feet today along with finishing a binge watch of season one of Next Level Chef and elevating my legs more than I did yesterday.

No church this AM. Working on some work for work. lol Later dog walks, more work, laundry and then the memorial service church.
@Shop-et-al, I hope you continue to improve!

Productive day yesterday. Need another one today.
Not finding stuff to get rid of.
Aldi plus pick up pizza next door to there. Nap. Watch last half of "Godfather 2."

@Honny, did they say why it wasn't delivered??? Will they make good for you??
Yay. Walked more than 5,000 feet/steps yesterday. This is more than half of my goal of 8,000 feet/steps. (Some research indicates that at 8,000 f/s the health and longevity benefits end. Walking more than that just makes one more active.) Mind you, my feet are shrieking today and are elevated almost constantly. They can do between three and four thousand feet/steps and will adjust, eventually. But enough of that. It is time for more of those pesky little tasky things. They keep me busy all week.

Didn't take long, did it!! smiling smiley
Cute about Sweet Pepper!

Had my first zoom meeting. Hope it is the last. Cleaned out a closet, dusted 1.5 rooms, dealt with wet laundry that hubby brought back from laundromat, washed and put away numerous dishes, cooked one meal, and am on track to walk at least 5,000 steps. Dull, but good. I am getting back to home routines. But when can I add some paid work?!

Very productive @Shop-et-al.
I subbed in PreK on the morning and Grade 2 in pm.
Grade 5 tomorrow.
Daughter woke up with pink eye. Did a half day at work and then took her to the doctor. Trying not to miss more than two days at work, so I can get the $500 attendance award.
Required shop purchases, meat and seafood, were turned into pasta sauce for humans and ridiculously expensive but reimbursed food for my cats.
6,000 steps yesterday. 75% of goal. ! Still finishing up one paperwork task and incorporating new exercises. Love the exercises!

Ended up being switched to grade 2/3 for most of the day.
Got taxes dropped off. 2 days to spare.
I'm wrapping up Spring Semester 2023 at Salt Lake Community College, so I am buried in grading stuff.

Every time I take a break I hit the job boards to look for work on an upcoming loop to San Diego and back.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Errands. Light cleaning. Sort more stuff. Work on dratted paperwork. Enjoy the exercises that make me feel better.

Finished my last 2 April reports. Making enough egg salad for several lunches. Poaching boneless chicken thighs for future meal plans. We have dark skies and heavy rain all day today and into tomorrow. Time for a nap, some laundry and some light housework I think. This sort of weather reminds me that I have arthritis.

Cold, dark and rainy day. Worked and now eating dinner. Trader Joe's Orange Chicken and Broccoli (frozen). Jasmine rice. DELICIOUS. I will eat Yum Earth Organic Jelly Beans (Thank you Mommy!) after finishing work at approximately 10PM. What shall I read, do or watch?
