What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

School reopens Monday after Spring Break. Glad it is going to be a 4 day week, Friday being a holiday. Today was Costco, Whole Foods, and the local grocery store. Made it just in time as there was a tornado watch, then a flash flood warning, and then high speed wind warning! Got a box full of Ferrero Rocher candies to review from a site. The pistachio flavor is the best.

Walked! Two long (for me) walks for a total distance of approximately the length of a football field. Go me. !

Today I am in Massachusetts's for Accepted Students Day for my son. We are visiting Fitchburg State University and hoping my son will make his final decision today. I wish I could mystery shop while I was here, jobs are plentiful, especially if I headed over to Boston!
I love windy days and today has been very windy and sunny. So beautiful. After my daughter's speech session. He father treated us to breakfast. While she spent some time with him, I ran to pick up some things from the grocery store. We went to the park to play and walk. The plan for the evening is to put little one to bed early so I can watch some t.v. Happy that next week is Spring Break!
I made a wrong turn headed to Aldi and found a regional grocery store that I had never been to. I walked in and to my right was the wine section. It looked like a Bevmo or Total Wines.

The butcher had fresh fish and meats. The deli had a huge selection of lunch meats and made sandwiches to order. The produce section was just okay, but I got my produce for the week. I have a new grocery store in my rotation.

Enjoyed the almost-70 degree sunny day by eating dinner on the deck. It was SO HARD to come inside!

Just finished dry-cleaning NINE dresses in my clothes dryer using Dry-El. If you've never used it, it works GREAT!! It comes with this large bag into which you can toss UP TO 5 articles of clothing, along with a special, wet, "cleaning cloth". It comes with a stain stick and a odor/wrinkle remover spray bottle. So for one load, I put in 4 dresses, and in the other load, 5 dresses. Leave them in the dryer on medium heat for about 25 minutes. It's GREAT!! When I take them out of the large zippered bag from the dryer, they're fresh, no more perspiration odor and no wrinkles!! I hang them back up and I'm good to go! The box comes with 5 wet cleaning cloths, each in their own packet, the large bag that you toss in the dryer with your clothes inside, a stain stick, and spray bottle of the wrinkle/odor remover. So if you can put 5 articles in the bag each time, and you can do this five times/kit (5 wet cleaning cloths), for around $13.00 (at least at WMart), you can dry-clean 25 articles of clothing in your dryer!! I love it!! Well worth it to me. I've been using it for about 10 years.
Edit:. I did it, I painted the ceiling. Waiting to see if it needs a second coat

Painting the bedroom ceiling. Yes, painting the bedroom ceiling. I am going to do it. The room is emptied out, the carpet is ripped out. The pain is here. I WILL do this today. But first, more coffee.

Edit: I meant the paint is here, but pain suits me too lol

Going to my bank where a banker and I will call my mortgage company to find out why they have not cashed the last 2 month's check payments sent by my bank. We also need to get the late fee removed and see that my credit score does not suffer. Finally we need to determine whether there is ANY way that the mortgage can be paid by a direct transfer from my bank each month. I can find nothing except a pay by check option on their web site. I am FUMING !!!

A very productive day for me at work virtually and at home physically. Four loads of wash, dusted our bedroom and vacuumed, worked my butt off, ate trail mix and drank Columbian coffee during the day. Finished my Easter Baskets; they're so beautiful! We will have 12 adults and 4 kids under 8 years old on Easter. Need to plan/finalize my menu and shop tomorrow. I did not prepare dinner tonight. DDs made (heated, LOL) Trader Joe's Frozen Orange Chicken and frozen broccoli; needed 2 bags of each. They did make fresh Jasmine Rice.
I HATE painting ceilings!

Hubby and I have decided we need a new dishwasher. Went to an appliance store to do research. Will talk about what we learned and decide.

They want to send me home this week. This Week! All we need is an equipment delivery to my home and an arrangement to pay for outpatient care. There is some issue with insurance and payment. I feel certain that those two conditions will be satisfied soon.

@KathyG, I hope this helps...

I purchased a Bosch dishwasher with stainless interior in 4/2006. Cleans dishes the same as it did when new. I did have to troubleshoot a weakened solder joint in the circuit board behind the control panel. I also replaced a plastic case behind the control panel buttons that makes the buttons spring back.

Bosch dishwashers are of the European design and do not grind food waste which means you need to clean off the dishes of large items before placing in the dishwasher.

I'm certain I'll be moving out of our current house before needing to replace this Bosch dishwasher.

Removed the 62" wide belly mower on our John Deere diesel tractor to resharpen and reinstall the three blades then re-grease about 20 fittings. It takes a big mower to cover over 3-1/2 acres of Mother Nature's land (I'm just her caretaker) smiling smiley

@prince

I don't mind painting. It's the preparation BEFORE painting that is the PITA! smiling smiley

That's helpful. Consumer Reports recommended Bosch also.

The sales associate we talked to said their Bosch's fly out of the store. All he had to show us was a model that was a little more basic than I would like, and used a different brand with a similar interior to demonstrate what another would look like. He showed us the Jenn-Air he owned and said he liked.

@maverick1. I hate all of it. I'm not good at the edges, that's why I hate it so much.
Enjoying family company for a few days. My husband's sister in law (sister of his late first wife) and her husband are here till Friday. We all enjoy each other's company, so glad they could make the trip. We live in SC and they live in W Va. They had gone down to Fla to visit a daughter, and are stopping here for a couple of days before they head back to W Va.
Sanding and washing bedroom walls. Vacuuming all the resulting dust.
Painting maybe. Maybe Hubby is painting.
Making sourdough bread for second time.
Visiting family later.
Starting the cooking process for Easter dinner. Going to church tonight. Walk somewhere in between.

We had family visiting for a few days. They left early this morning for a L-O-N-G drive back up to Martinsburg, WV (from SC!) They drove through a LOT of rain, but got home safely a short while ago. Got my haircut today before I went grocery shopping.
