What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

LOL, @prince. The laundry marathon continues. Half of my crew are down with bad colds and possibly one case of pink eye.

I have moved lol. I don't feel sick but I have a very sore throat. Maybe form wide open mouth at the dentist, and too much teacher voice? Hoping.

Hope everyone feels better at your place @Madetoshop
Why not make the flow chart in Power Point?

I just figured out how to make a flow chart in Word and then add it to a PowerPoint deck I'm putting together for a volunteer project.

Lol indeed! Hands prevent me from getting in/out of all but 2 chairs. Think I could get out of a third chair if I had a compression cushion. An air compressor lifts the cushion, raising the sitter. Was not willing to try this because of cost and potential fits of giggles. *Pffffffffftt* up, up, and away....

[www.scrapbook.com] I can do this happy and lovely endeavor. My Mom's and my cards are 3D; Papyrus has nothing on us. I can crank out beautiful cards that can be mailed in a stack without worrying about crushed embellishments or beads/ribbons falling off.. I LOVE IT. It is so relaxing. When I was a Girl Scouts Troop Leader many years ago, one of our projects every holiday was to make cards and send them to military overseas. My brother was in the Air Force and loved receiving anything. Do it please. Find your creativity and relax your mind.
Mainly because I know next to nothing about that program :-)

*deep breath*

So I can try for a dignified post. In a perfect world, tomorrow is for shredding and hair.

Cooked breakfast for the clergy this morning. There should have been six, but one of the priests grabbed pastries and left, one of the seminarians was gone, and the deacon was out delivering communion. There were A LOT of leftovers, and the priests don't seem to particularly care about eating leftovers. I feel awful knowing food will go to waste, but as long as the pastor doesn't care I guess I won't either.

Little household tasks. Weight watchers black bean fudge recipe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ may not repeat that.
Heading out for a walk in the sunshine.
Someone come get this cat. She is evil. She knocked my wine from the stool onto the floor.

Yikes! What a waste of wine :-)

The cat should settle down as she ages. In the meantime, make sure you play with her a couple of times a day--feather on a stick or a laser pointer for her to chase.

In honor of President's Day Hubby and I made a road trip (45 minutes) to Washington, Missouri. The historic city has a cute downtown area where we thought we could shop and grab a snack. Unfortunately, between holiday closures and many of the stores just being closed on Monday there wasn't much to see. We walked a paved trail along the Missouri River, stopped at a produce stand, and grabbed a cup of coffee before heading home.

We have been scheduled to take our citizenship oath this Wednesday, in Chicago. My chipped thumbnail hasn't regrown but has healed nicely to the point where I can work without wincing. Made a batch of cottage cheese, prepped some greens, and set my yogurt for the week.
picking up 2 rolls of quarters to do laundry after school and digging through all my boxes from the move from nov 1 to find an envelope that contains my car title and birth cert. my credit has improved significantly so hopefully i can get a new car and get back to ubering. if i can find them the same place where I want to buy a car is shopped so, crossing my fingers, i will see if i can get some flexibility in the report requirements should i purchase one

Today, my husband and I took the Oath of Allegiance in Chicago with 98 other immigrants from 37 different countries! Indeed, a big day for us. My husband has been in the US for 18 years now and this is my 15th year.

The judge at the District Court made a moving speech. He said that he himself is a son of immigrant parents who were naturalized like us and knows how long, difficult, and nerve-wracking the process can be. He said you are also one of those "Fellow Americans" in every speech the President makes, and if anyone asks you where you are from, you proudly say Unites States of America. If they push you further, you say Chicago. The whole room burst out laughing. Tomorrow, we apply for US passports and renounce our old ones.
Mum, congratulations. What a happy day for you and your family!

No one called me to sub, luckily. I would have said no.
I'm off in this -31°C temp. to have lunch with friends I've known since 1967! 3 of the 7 can't make it, but we will enjoy!

Glad I didn't book any mystery shops. We changed the venue and who want to add extra stops in this temp?

Friday morning meeting, then home for lunch. Tonight I'm working as a cashier at the church Fish Fry. The past two years it was carry out only, so remembering how to use the cash register will be interesting.

I'm headed to the food bank and then to the international market for groceries.

I did nothing, other than supper in the crock pot. Sheesh, I want to retire but I'm too lazy at home.
It snowed today so I only went to the food bank. Grocery shopping will happen tomorrow.
