What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Got in a walk before rain started. Participated in a game marathon with oldest grandson-Life, Chutes and Ladders, and Monopoly. Ate more calories than I expended (again!) Made plans for tomorrow, when Hubby and I will have some free time to explore area around Middle Son's house.

I hope you improve soon @Shop-et-al. It wouldn't bother me to go out in slippers.

Thank you. I finally re-found and ordered wearable compression product that will help every day. I cannot wear just anything-- claustrophibic-- eek shriek! Phew! Until "my" product arrives, I have laps, affirmations, and determination.

Today is trash day. Partial purge of the walk in closet, boxes from deliveries, fridge cleanse and regular trash.

Today is shred day, laps/affirmations day, work on a few carpet spots day, make a few phone calls day, and do those designated leg exercises day.

Rent checks to bank; Albe's; pedicure; made various medical test appointments; look for site where I can get the newly free (for Medicare) shingles vaccine this week; kitchen clean-up; prep trash and recycling to go to the curb.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

My son & his family won't be down until Thursday the 4th. So we're keeping all our Christmas stuff up. They were going to come last week, but hubby was sick. We usually don't take it down before the 10th or so anyway. I'm glad we now have an artificial tree with LED lights that never get hot!
Not me-my luck was horrible. Glad I wasn't playing at the casino!

Each time we visit Middle Son and family Hubby and I try to fit in an activity or two for ourselves. Today was exploring the History Park and Japanese Friendship Garden in San Jose. plus walking around some strip malls closer to the place where Grandson was participating in an art camp.

I like leaving it up longer, usually. Just wanted my space back. I'll have to light candles tomorrow morning as I'll miss coffee by Christmas tree lights.

The international market that I go to has cut, smoked turkey wings. I like using the pieces to make smaller portions of veggies.

I made beans last night. I woke up this morning thinking I forgot to turn them off. Luckily, they were in the fridge.

Unprintable stole a card again and attempted another large purchase. It was denied. Fortunately, I had the card I needed to order groceries online. This is yet another reason for bankruptcy: keep nothing that unprintable ever could find and use. How he found cards this time is... Who knows. But he does not understand and does not learn. He believes his mind is sharp and there is something wrong with everyone else. This is not true. He needs to be tested! I can hardly wait for the showdown. This is more ammo to share with people who might be able to get unprintable to tests.

But the day started well for me otherwise. While waiting for Tylenol to kick in, I did some walking and the complete leg workout. That was strengthening for me.

A day-long rain sent us to the mall after we dropped Grandson off at his camp. We walked around, had lunch, then came back home to rest before leaving to pick him up.

Back to work since yesterday and bombarded. I need to go physically into the office tomorrow and then attend a fancy team dinner with a White Elephant gift event. This should be funny. I enjoyed a team Secret Santa last month as well as a baby shower for a co-worker that is expecting triplets; all boys and he already has 2. I roomba'd once again and dusted and vacuumed some bedrooms. The twelve days of Christmas are so full of life and joy.
So only good news: I should be finished up to a point with my bankruptcy filing early next week. Getting the filing in soon means placing the stay on all cards soon. At that point, I make no more payments-- regardless of what unprintable attempts with my cards. I can submit certificates and completed tax forms later, if necessary. I am certain they will agree that it is necessary to thwart unprintable and credit card balances now. There is no need to delay. I finally weighed myself again. I lost 80 pounds and will never miss them. Gotta' keep going with that! smiling smiley I feel better when I do the leg workout every other day. So today is paperwork and tomorrow is leg work.

I perform home energy audits for the electric company. I had a client this week whose house needed a lot of work. She kept saying that she didn't have any money. Houses cost money. Every recommendation I gave her, she railroaded. She seemed to enjoy the complaining.

@Shop-et-al, glad for the progress you are making, and congrats on losing the 80 lbs!

@Honny, Yes, I've met some people in my 69 years who really do seem to enjoy complaining. I try to look at all the blessings I've had through the years.
Another pajama day. Maybe a walk.
Losing 80 pounds is amazing! Would love to owe 30

I gently placed our last dog (female, almost 15 yrs) to rest in a grave in our backyard next her brother who passed in 2019. It's a very quiet house now. I met her and her siblings at birth (a litter from friend's dogs). She would give me her paw without any training. Housebroken with ease. She never scratched or chewed on anything, but was a natural rabbit hunter / catcher.

I fully understand how these creatures became, "man's best friend."
My sympathies. It's hard to lose a friend.

Pepper has been drinking out of my water cups! I caught her this morning.

I have WaWa commemorative soda cups around the house: office, living room, bedroom. They are 32 ounce capacity with lids and straws. I caught the little bugger licking water from the living room cup straw.

At least she was just drinking. When our cats were young they liked to dip their paws in our cups and then lick the water off.

Our last day in California. Took Grandson to art camp, then attended a fellowship meeting before heading back to Son's house to pack. On the way out Hubby and I divided Christmas presents for nine people in our suitcases. I thought there would be extra room on the way back. Not so. It was a struggle to get everything in.

We don't take down the Christmas tree until after Jan 7th when it is Orthodox Christmas Day. Daughter goes back to school on the 9th so a day before that. My mum got her booster shot and fell terribly sick. She is doing okay now but she is always complaining how she gets sick after every vaccine.
Tomorrow is for: printing, filling and arranging forms. Trimming hair slightly. Putting away dry laundry.
