Snow day! We all expected this. Yesterday's soft, tender snowfall felt sweet and looked innocent. It never changed. It layered and layered and layered until it had given us enough for a widespread wet blanket, closed roads, and necessary indoor options. It will be lovely to stay indoors and do a little of this and a little of that. This is a rare treat for me. I simultaneously hope that everyone will be safe in place for the duration.

Happy to report that most of the sudden-onset vaccine symptoms have resolved and the aching arm is down to a dull roar. This is an unusual situation. I never had reactions to immunizations throughout childhood, and I had no reaction to my recent flu vaccine. I would contribute this to the combination of long-standing lack of sleep and the time of day. Early in the morning, I can process just about anything for that day. After noon, I am on my steady march to the end of one day and getting ready for the next; I should be at home or at least doing nothing that involves a disease. On the upside, I now know how to prepare for the second shot. Before I arrive, everything for that day will be completed and everything for the next day will be ready. All I will have to do is get jabbed and carry on...
