What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Good for you! Having watched several projects being completed in my house I KNOW it is a lot of work!

Not just today, but for several weeks now, I've been installing drywall and applying tape and compound to several rooms. Looks good if I do say so myself. It's a lot of effort that I don't recommend to most others. But I enjoy learning and using new skills.

Work, the extra work, a workout, and scurry away to work at another job.

Laughing at me and all my seemingly endless projects. Yesterday, I accomplished an enormous amount of work there. If we measured linear work only, I would fail. If we count curvilinear work, I am the bomb and I win!

Tonight Hubby and I are volunteering at our church's Fish Fry. He's working the parking lot, I'm cashiering for people doing carry out orders. I understand that last week (the first with no dine-in option) had a line of cars to pick up online preorders that stretched for a couple of blocks. Hope they've made some adjustments.

My church hasn't done our fish fry in over a year. The coordinator had surgery and then the pandemic started.

Today is my only day off from the lab in the entire month of February. It is 75 & sunny. I washed sheets and hung them on the line outside. I also took one of the cars in for service, mailed two eBay packages, stocked up on veggies, and brought home lunch. Oh yeah, did 2 more loads of laundry in addition to the sheets.

Now, I have to mentally get myself ready for no days off until mid-March.
I picked up my car today from the auto body shop. They refused to do the alignment estimate. I have to have a separate estimate done and get reimbursed from the insurance company.

Wait to hear something about early job. Turn stimulus card into something less hard and plastic. Go to weeny job.

Spent a couple of days this past week carpet shampooing our carpets....haven't done them in a couple of years, and they sure needed it!! It's handy having my own shampooer, so I can do this whenever the mood strikes me. Also, had the plumber in yesterday to finish up some plumbing work he started a couple of weeks ago...he had to special order a fixture for one of our showers, and it finally came in, so now that's all done!
@guysmom: You go, girl! We used to do that, back in the day when there was still a glimmer of hope for the carpets. When the carpet was new, our visitor anointed it with the first indelible stain. Or, maybe they cursed it.

Today was a the Botanical Garden. SO exciting to see the Witch Hazel and Snowdrops blooming!

Road trip to pick up my Mom who will stay with us until Easter. So happy. Continued on to the Capital Grille to celebrate DD's birthday. We had a lot of laughs, great convo, delicious food and wonderful service.
Our early work was completed on time. Huzzah! The extra work is not going to be on time. We had to come home and be natural before carrying on... Anyway, eventually we will do a few errands and then relax. What did RBG say about work? You use one type of work as a rest from some other type of work? That is me, for the next few days.

Snowshoing, or rather up and down some icy trails on my snowshoes!
I took measurements for my fridge space and found out I will not have the room for the behemoth fridge (26 cuft) that I want. I have to go with the 21 cuft which will still be much roomier than what I have now.

Aaahhh.... a big, roomy 'fridge. You will love the larger unit!

My fridge is just under 16cuft. I have no available, usable space. When I look at the pics of the fridge I want, I'm already filling it!

Work. Extra work. Apparently, the extra day of work for each extra work, which now happens on Wednesday instead of on the extra day... Don't ask... Eventually, I will be at home long enough to accomplish something... Bwahaha!

The sun is out and it is snowing with above zero temps, so I will definitely go for a long walk.
The sun is up. I should go for a long walk, or ski, or snowshoe, but that would require getting out of cozy bed.
Have substitute taught plenty lately so cherishing this day at home.
Clean, organize and declutter the entire house, that is the plan! Lol
Read, knit, sew!
List a ton of stuff on Freecycle; kitchen clean-up; fold and store piles of clean laundry, get serious about tax preparations.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Work and extra work x 3. Back care (that #@&#@$ shopping cart really pulled hard!). Clean one car, continue 'My Personal Paperwork Reduction Act of 2013', and begin to gather a load of stuff to donate.

Today is a bank errand and doing my vehicle emissions. I may or may not go to Aldi's.

As a part of a shop, I got my tax refunds on a prepaid debit card. That company is making it very difficult to do an ACH transfer to my bank. My bank errand is to see what my options are from their end. I want to get the money in my bank account because my fridge is going on my rewards card and paid off shortly after.

Rough morning. Quiet afternoon. Noticeable progress on the projects because some things actually went away forever. I can see other things! his is good, and this is how it is done on a day like today: Work five minutes, watch half a movie, repeat... it works.

@HonnyBrown: good luck with your payment situation!

Luck availed! I went to my branch and told the bank my situation. She told me all of my options and affiliated fees. My savings account was funded by the time I got in my car.

Appliance store, here I come!

Hey Ya'll! I've been so busy now that I'm back in the school building. The students start coming back on Tuesday. Yikes! But the weather here has been so lovely. I took my 19 month on daughter to the park after work. I loved seeing her run and play on the slide!
Work and extra work x 3 because this involves only hubby and me in the car. Skip the other job again because other people work there, too. Unless tptb make me stay away longer, I should be back next week as scheduled. (Still suspect bad food issue from yesterday; in the covid era, one cannot be too careful. !) Enjoy the sunshine, whittle down the projects & stuff, and end with some sort of gentle workout.
