Exacly!!!!! The ace bandage is really helpful, but I'm still taking the muscle relaxers. They make me loopy!

I had an interesting day. Random drug screen this morning before work. At work, I applied for a few jobs. After work, I went to urgent care to have my knee looked at. The knee issue was a groin pull. I'm happily medicated right now.

Good thing that day wasn't in reverse.

I went to an Apple Cider Sip and Paint at my church. It was so much fun! Then I went to Total Wines and got my wine for next week.

A moment of silence... Dearly beloved, we are gathered here to celebrate the passing of three excessive pounds. They worked hard. They padded, they rounded, and they shaped. Bless them, and may they ever be elsewhere and not on me.

Seriously. At this rate, I will be in the next smaller size before Halloween. That size is the "not so, so, bad" size. Go me!

Shop-et-al, congrats! Today we're having dinner with my mom and step-dad. I'm making frozen custard for everyone, cinnamon chocolate.
Helping my husband get supplies together for Florida. He is a catastrophe insurance adjuster. Probably heading for South Florida by Thursday. I hope all those people have the right kind of coverage so he can write them big checks.

Did a shop like this once at a place called Painting with a Twist. It was fun.

Catching up on paperwork, laundry, King Ranch Chicken for supper. Worried about all the folks in Florida.
I did that shop once with my husband. Our two-panel painting was supposed to flow from one section to the other, but didn't quite match up. It was still a fun night, though.

Two reports, office tidying (more like an archaeological dig than "tidying"winking smiley, freezer inventory, "shopping" by phone for a good price on a local source for "all wheel" alignment, now that the final 2 new tires have been installed on my 10 year old Honda Fit., planning the remainder of my workweek, which will run through next weekend.

Am attempting a rescue. Customer Service has been taken over by Mad Sales Effort.

All I want to do is change something for my phone.

But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

I must either download something which costs me money or buy a huge friggin plan which costs too much money. The company already changed its price structure. That was just manageable.

This "we shall force you to buy crap that you do not want and do not need " approach is pi@@ing me off to the point that I might just move on and do what I am old enough to do: no-tech living. Ahhhhh... The joys of being old....

Remember YOU are in control of your phone. I bought for $60.00 an AT@T go phone (Android) that has more than I need. I'm not a bit app person so just don't download and keep my data low. They give me 5$ off for paying auto online. My bill is $25.00 a month. Texting keeps costs down and your companies will text.
I use my laptop for nearly everything at home or take it with me. 700.00 for a phone thanks but no thanks.

Today going to Goodwill with yet more stuff. Straighting house, looking for work staying home.

I'll be watching the Broncos game tonight... hopefully I can stay up late enough to see the end.
I needed my phone earlier for a fun thing. I was gonna' take pix of buns. Then, I was going to post pix and ask members to identify the gender of each bun-wearer based solely upon the bun and without any other visual or narrative clue.

Why would I do this? Because there might not be man buns after all. These buns on assorted, apparently female and male heads were indistinguishable! There are only buns. And buns. And buns. It may be more descriptive to notate the location of buns than to assign gender to them... And, we might need to know if they are edible...

Just staying in and dry from the wind and rain up here in NW South Carolina from Tropical Storm Irma. Hope I can get out tomorrow.
Trying to find my mojo today. It seems to have disappeared. I got through the day at my regular job and lurked on the forum. That's about it.
It's a dessert? That doesn't sound Klingon!

I did nothing but eat fat and sugar over the weekend, so I started with a trip to the gym to get rid of some of the extra pounds the scale said I had gained. Ran some errands, did yet more paperwork, and vacuumed the house. All in all, pretty boring.

My contractor informed me that the cabinets I chose were not available so I had to go back to the drawing board. I lean towards rustic but didn't want a dark kitchen. I had bought a set of very kitschy dishes that I love. Teal with red and pink roses, very vintage looking. I took the salt shaker to the paint sample cards and just held it up in front of them to see what popped. A lovely apricot caught my eye, pale but sunny, not pink and not yellow. Perfect. For some reason it looks amazing with the dishes. It seems my kitchen wants to be shabby chic. I can do that. Antique white cabinets that luckily for me are in stock, and the pretty white countertops along with the vintage island I found are going to be perfect. It all came together at the last minute. I'll distress my little vintage table and chairs and find a checkered tablecloth and maybe some lacy curtains. Voila!
Sounds charming love shabby chic, my house is eclectic a mix of stuff. iI love paintings have a nice colletion. My kitchen is white tile have an assortment of dishes but favorites are heavy black plates red paisley napkins with interesting napkin holders all different and interesting. red twill like place mats. I always have my dining room table set just because it looks good. My cabinets and banisters and downstairs floors are all very light wood. I haven't redecorated in ages, but still like my stuff. Sounds like your place will be great. Today I stayed home and futtezd around. working tomorrow.....

I love a set table as well. I always have a pretty tablecloth and I cut flowers all year for it. I like when things are all different, no matchy matchy for me. I want old glass knobs but plan to just buy one or two at a time when I find them and then they will all be different.
Same here i look at pottery barn used to shop them and got great different napkin holders. Pier one and such. My Mother left me 1947 Rodgers Bros. English silverware and the old and new somehow work. I love fresh flowers and sneak around my complex where flowers abound cutting here and there. I use to make silk flower arrangements but still prefer the real thing. I collect fun chickens and frogs (sounds weird) but have them on top of kitchen cabinets and they'r fun..love black white and red trimmings and different textures. My daughter has done quite a bit of traveling and brought me back espresso cups from Istanbul stuff from Thailand all mixed together. Matchy.. matchy definitely a no no. Homes that really reflect your taste always work....doing a new home development next week, love to see the models and get ideas.
