What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

My carefully planned day went... somewhere. But as long as I do the ten most important things, the day will end well. Wish me luck!

It's 10° here and very windy. Wish it was 50°. Would feel like a heat wave.
Anyway, tonight I wrote the last paper for school. I am done!

After I finish some reports...
A trip to BB&B for some kitchen items; Aldi for staples; drop off dry cleaning; deep conditioning my hair; planning my last 16 (so far) shops of the year to see where I could fit in a few big bonus offers that may pop up between now and New Year's Eve.

Oh, yeah. I paid for two people's medicals, half of a used car, and several car repairs.
I even saved a few bucks. It was a good year...

Thank you! It was quite a ball to juggle with a full-time job and parents that need help. But I did it! BA in graphic and web design. I really enjoyed what I learned. And it got me a better job within my company with better hours so I can help my parents. Win win!

We opened a couple of presents and cards that my daughter got at school today. She made some cards as well and distributed them. We included some Starbucks Gift cards for the teachers and the bus driver. Husband won a $100 Amazon gift card at the Office Christmas party today. He got two entries for donating to Toys for Tots. Last day for school tomorrow. I have been waiting for this day!!
Thank you, Irene!

I have a final due on 12/29. I plan on visiting my Mom and Dad on 12/23. The goal is to get the bulk of the paper done by 12/22, and put the finishing touches on it when I am at my parents'.

Good intentions, right?

I found some of The Hawaiians' music. I know and have played some of the beautiful songs from 60's and 70's. Other songs are new to me. Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh...smiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smileysmiling smiley

Besides shopping? Writing reports of completed shops. Securing shops for the comming months. And staying out of retail shops!
Enjoying the lack of traffic on the streets for the next 2 weeks. All the folks that cannot leave town when Congress is in session and/or schools are open, are off the local streets. And, enjoying the bright, relatively mild, and very dry weather we will have here through the end of the year. I will be in the city center for shops every day except Christmas Day, thru the 29th, when I have suburban shops. . Saving the 30th and 31st for big bonus opportunities.

The Hawaiians, aka Diane and Mark Yasuhara, are providing exquisite 'Gesu Bambino' and other lovely holiday music for me today. Love this! smiling smiley

Stepping up packing the rest of clothes and dishes to give to the Jewish home who cares for it's own and is a wonderful source for the Jewish population. After the move, I will volunteer there. Lunch provides my wonderful Japanese BBQ. Enjoy listening to Xmas carols by my contemporaries Frank Sinatra, Bluble, John Legand, Mariah and such.....even the newer singers. Get quotes on movers, and whatever falls into my lap.

Just bought some last minute Christmas gifts online at Kohl's for instore pickup 4 miles away. I will go Monday morning when the store is less busy. Annual family Christmas party is tonight!
One class after the I'm taking now. YAY!!!!!

The class I have now, the professor is a tool. He doesn't know how to correctly use citations, and he penalizes his students.

@JASFLALMT I just came back from Kohl's and got a $89 (on sale for $43) Vera Wang handbag for $15!! All my coupons and cash back from Thanksgiving..Also went to Burlington and got a few puzzles on sale. The best one was states and capitals of the country for $8. The lady at the counter asked where I found it and she just ran after she handed me the receipt!!
So I segued from The Hawaiians to other renditions to other music and... and... and... I could do this forever! But I reined myself in and got through three yucky projects, three amusing holiday flicks, and two different workouts. The next project involves piles of khakis and black pants in four sizes that fit at various times during the past two years. Thanks to my erratic (errant?) thyroid, my size went up and down like a yo-yo and I have the MS pants to prove it. grinning smiley Tomorrow is for more of beloved music and donation of all those pants.

Oh wow. I had a couple of professors cut and paste their feedback and comments so they were the same for everyone. I loved the classes i took at SNHU and i was pretty good at what i was doing or caught on quick so i didnt care much about the generic feedback but if i was struggling i could see how that would be frustrating.

Hopefully your last classes will fly by!

kimmiemae, that's where I'm in grad school, SNHU. I'm not struggling with the coursework. The professor thinks I am using citations incorrectly.

Lots of my kind of music. Donating stuff. Still looking for a date to visit mil (intended recent visit did not happen). Smacking my lips because my new fave sandwich is so good... scant leftover ham which means just enough for flavor and pear support, 98% of a small pear, small smear of vegan butter, bread with fiber, protein, and scarcely any sugar. There is room for ground ginger or some other pungent thing, but this is the basic easy yummy sandwich. I would not be surprised if I am the only person who likes this because I like odd combinations of foods...

I was just merely stating my ecperience. I was not implying you were struggling.

Started writing a blog of notes on how to age gracefully...quite a challenge, but possible. Will try and have a class at the Jewish home on aging while still enjoying life....I'm a strong 82, don't ya know and wisdom is an asset in this world.....why I may be ready for my final relationship..."winking smiley or is that wishful thinking?

I am preparing to go home to Mom & Dad's for Christmas!

And I am leaving my laptop home. Due to Christmas falling in the middle of the week, my final is due on January 5, not December 29.

Yesterday at Day 1 of our family Christmas we found out that Oldest Son and his wife are expecting-due in late June. I'm beyond thrilled.
