Kathy, My son has done the same thing in the past! Except it's boxes and binders and cases of baseball cards!! He also has other mementos here, which are STILL HERE!! He's taken several boxes & binders of baseball cards back home with him, but there are still THOUSANDS of cards here, in binders, boxes and bins!! They never really leave home in some ways, do they?@KathyG wrote:
Oldest Son was in town for a work meeting, so he came by the house and culled through his childhood/teenage mementos. He decided he could get rid of the equivalent of a banana box full of memories, took a full suitcase of items with him, and left two boxes here to retrieve at a later date.

Speaking of kids never leaving home...my daughter is now 44yrs. young and I still have her gorgeous prom dress, sweet 16 B-day book of a luncheon we gave her at a then popular restaurant in Woodland Hills. I ask if she wants them, and it's a hassle getting it to Chicago, so Mom keeps the memories, it's really for me, she does love to look at it when she visit....the past is always with us.
Today another day at home watching the news about the President's inquiry for an impeachment......interesting.
Just awaiting my Dr.'s appointment Oct. 9th. for date of surgery. Going to make some avocado chips, dinner's cooking and I will do laundry later.
actually my contract ended, so took the house off the market for awhile, awaiting my surgery, and will stay here till next spring.@KathyG wrote:
Irene, will your daughter's memories be moving to your new house with you (whenever that may be)?
