What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

I"m still sitting around drinking coffee. I shall soon pry myself from my chair and start dishes, vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom. If I have any energy left after all that I will expend it in the yard.

This morning I went for a walk with a new group at a National Park. I didn't hit my step goal, but it was a great workout.

Volvo called back to see if I was still in the market. I told them what I wanted to pay. I'm waiting to hear back.

I'm doing homework now.

I arranged for the Kia Soul that interests me to be transferred to the store within 1.5 miles of me. I will test drive it tomorrow. If they wil professionally touch up a few paint chips, I make make a deal tomorrow. If I do not like their trade-in offer, I will sell my 2008 Honda Fit Sport myself.

Any buyers out there? 20902

My boyfriend works in the service department for Honda. He has a Honda and has only had Hondas for the last 10 years..keeps trading them in when something newer and fancier comes along at their place. He said he will never not buy Honda. They are one of the longest running, reliable cars out there. I want the CRV and hope to get one in the New Year.

So, I am up early today. Technically, it is still Monday here, but somewhere in the world it is Tuesday. So I have doubled my sleep time on the alleged new bed. After my apparently pre-ordained four hours of sleep, which is 200% more than the previous two, I am outta that thing and on to other important things. Cuppa; find something clean, decent, and business-y to wear, and read the forum. For my next trick, I will add a bed board. This should even out the frakakta mattress and make it easy to determine whether I want cushy topper or one of the good/expensive futon toppers. By now you have realized that I am taking on the over-priced bed industry. If sleep, posture, support, and the other alleged benefits of costly beds is so #T&winking smiley)O@#)#@ important for all humans, then why are the allegedly good beds not accessible for all humans?!

I have a mathematically calculated bed budget and a built-in requirement for sleep. It is almost fun to transform this thing into a useful bed and spend substantially less than I would for its counterparts in the whacked-out bed market...

I bought the 2017 Kia Soul+ today. It still has 2.5 years and 28,000+ miles on the full manufacturer's warranty. Got a very good trade-in offer. It drives and rides like a dream. The sales associate would have gotten a 12 out of 10 if I was rating him. No wasted time; not pressure; very knowledgeable. Has a back-up cam and several driving modes, including economy mode. That is a huge plus because lately 3/4 of my driving is in city traffic. My afternoon will be spent reading the original owner's manual, which came with it.

Thank you to all who have shared your comments about such great vehicles!

SEA, there is nothing more important than a good night's sleep (well, it ranks as #1 for me, not for everyone). The best investment you can ever make is in a decent bed. And pillows are important, too. In fact, sometimes you might think that it's the bed causing problems when in actuality, it's your pillow. I have a Temperpedic bed that I LOVE. It was about $3,000. I got a 0% interest deal on it for 12 months so never had to pay any interest. I sleep sooooo good in that bed. I have an assortment of pillows, and the ones I wasn't thrilled with made it into the guest rooms. A good night's sleep keeps one even tempered, keep that in mind.
Thank you. I have been through expensive beds, pillows, and the whole schmear. I refuse to pay a lot of money for that again. I absolutely refuse to do it! Eventually, I will finish my little project. Meanwhile, I tentatively hypothesize that Medicare for All should be scaled back to a simplistic 'Decent Sleep Units for All'.

The best mattress I ever had came from Aldi. It was memory foam with a 20 year warranty for $200!

Memory foam: bad. My customized bed: good.

So today we are adding furniture, removing furniture, and re-arranging stuff. We started this project yesterday. We probably will not finish it until tomorrow or Friday. These are good changes.

I have a crew of six painters here, who plan to knock out 8 ceilings and 7 rooms before they leave tonight. Not coincidentally I've scheduled my first shop for the month later today, but until the mall opens at 10 I'm sitting in my living room listening to all of the hubbub.

You can put me on the Tempur-pedic fan list. I wouldn't give up mine for double the $3000 we paid for it. And the memory foam pillow too. Mine has the cloud foam on top of the firm foam so it's extra yummy. I am having coffee for a little while longer and checking on my Elvenar cities before I get up and walk out the door for my two shops. A Sonic that I scheduled soley for the purpose of bringing my wife a free milkshake, and a very highly bonused 2 photo gas station. After I return and do the reports I shall attempt some vacuuming.
I sleep like a baby on my 800.00 mattress bought 16 years ago, no frills, just a mattress.
Had I bought a "sleeper" like my friend is looking at for 4,000.00, I'd probably never get out of bed, so, I'm good.

I missed my period for straight two months. Doctor is starting me on Provera to induce a period and run some tests on the third day. Let's see what comes up.
I'm on Team TempurPedic, too. Went back and bought a discounted floor model after my sixth or seventh shop for a discounted price.

I rediscovered Goodwill online. It's their online store. I bought a JBL soundbar that I had been eyeing.

Doing errands like picking up a So Cal Water kit which included a new shower head to save water (free). Running around and became lightheaded, not feeling well, Dr. seeing me 8:40 am tomorrow.

Driving my wife to her dentist appt. She has something bad going on and its a long ways away. Shes really in too much pain to drive.
Irene, I hope all is ok after your appointment.

Today, I have 3 shops in Atlantic City, but I'm staying my 2 free nights and playing my free money. My boyfriend will meet me there after work tonight and we'll have all day tomorrow to see how much trouble we can get into. I can't wait!

Insomnia woke me up at 2am. I got lost in my mind thinking about my grand plans for the day: hiking a new trail, making thai food for dinner, laundry, preparing my windowsill garden. I was also thinking about my new job and the paycheck to go with it.

By 7am, I was too mentally exhausted to do anything!

Mum, hope all is well. Don't know your age, but could it be related to pre-menopause??? Keep us posted.
Well, I basically took 2 days off from the Forum because I got a new phone.....and we ALL know how time consuming it can be to get a new phone organized and up and running to our own peculiar specs!!! I still have my other phone, a ZTE Blade, which I keep for WIFI usage. But I dropped it on the sidewalk right in front of our door last Friday. It got 3 lovely left bottom-to-right upper curved arched cracks in the screen!! Now, I only paid $20 (yes, twenty bucks) for the phone 2 1/2 yrs ago...I'm not one to spend a lot of money!! This phone, the Nokia 3.1C has Android 9 (pie) on it, and it cost me, including upgrade fee, $75.00, so I upped the ante a bit! Also, this time I got one of those protective glass-type covers that you simply place over the screen, that will do the cracking and leave the screen intact if dropped. It normally costs $15, but the person at the store let me have it for $5.00. So now, I'm FINALLY up and running!! WOO-HOO!!
Work. Work. Work. Time out for Botani Gardens and wait for a lunch break/my opportunity to work unobtrusively in an office. Every work day should include something like this. Museum, hike, whatevs..

Dr's appt. 8:40, got out at 10:10..had a surprise EKG and blood work along with Appt. (not scheduled) to see a Cardiologist as I have something strange called a bundle brunch block, whatever the hell that is. I have been tired, dizzy and short of breath.....won't get Appt. for about a month, wish me luck, have a feeling I'll need it.

Irene, hope you get some answers soon! Have they mentioned inserting a pacemaker? How slow is your heart rate?
Coffee and Irene, prayers up for both of you!

I got my Hot & Spicy cookbook in the mail. After browsing through it, I saw 713 recipes that I want to make. Today was Butter Chicken Hot Dish.

Okay, that wasn't from the cookbook. That's where my creative culinary skills took me.
