What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Today is the first of three window companies coming to give me estimates as part of a job. Cutting the grass before it rains AGAIN.

@CoffeeQueen It is super easy to grow, but I only really ever use it when I make tea, so I just throw the leaves in with the tea. Like @KathyG said, the drying process is tedious, so I always just used them fresh.

Emptying out all stuff I no longer use, Veteran's truck coming next week, and giving old clothes to woman's shelter in town and some to cleaning crew coming Thursday. Computer work, losing renter and it's time for me to make a move (overtime). Want to end up with loved one, if we can work that out. Renter worked out great over a year, but I'm done with that...one and done, quitting while ahead. Preparing ahead of time.

cleaning house , cooking Macho Cheese cheicken , Spainsh Rice and corn for supper, Reading some and have quite time
Running out to do 3 shells then coming home and taking on a big patch of poison ivy that is flourishing in the front yard (where people walk past) under the plum tree.

Please pray for me!
Today is all all about tasky things. Errands. Little projects. Putting together 2-3 effective shopping days (kudos to schedulers!). Minding my D-3 protocol: just a few minutes in the sun during non-peak hours while not wearing sunscreen or sunblock; D-3 dietary factors; and supplemental D-3.

Today was the last day of school before the summer break. I had loads of phone shops assigned and wanted to be done with them before all hell breaks loose. So, I did 28 phone shops today!! I can't believe I am done. For the rest of the week, I will have 6 or 7 small phone shops every day and enough time to spend with my daughter.
I did a shop for Bose today. I was very impressed with the soundbar. It's been added to the never ending living room remodel list. This project is morphing.

My food shops this week left me with a filled fridge. I won't need to go to the grocery store this week.

Yesterday nothing went right. It was one of those days. Should have been easy, was anything but. So today I still have 2 gas stations to do before rain arrives tomorrow and a phone shop. Once that is handled I can move on to the poison ivy. I have developed a strategy, of sorts I think. I will cover myself from head to toe in leggings, socks and shoes and long sleeved shirt. Go outside and weed eat the area which should be very fast, run upstairs and throw the clothes into the washer and jump into the shower and soap up from head to toe. Supposedly soap if applied fast enough after exposure will neutralize the poison ivy. Once it starts raining and washes the spores out of the air then it should be safe to spread plastic and apply lots of mulch to the area. Fun fact, did you know that if your pet comes in contact with poison ivy and then you pet them you can get a breakout that way?
@HonnyBrown I did a grocery route on Sunday that took care of my groceries too. I have to run pick up a couple of things I intentionally didn't get because of heat, just lettuce and perishables and I am done! I love it when I can schedule a string of them for Saturday or sunday, because 4-8 on weekends isn't enough time really.
Napped. Feel infinitely better now,

There are a few errands (when are there not?!?), a few tasks, and a few assignments. Ideally, I can complete two jobs today and one tomorrow. If necessary, I will have one today and two tomorrow. These places are close to home and easy to fit into my and the locations' hours of operation. grinning smiley

I have a fast shop for today and my sister in law asked us to go with them to the local ice cream polar so we will do that too.
My new term at school started last week. I cannot get motivated to study.

Closing a bank account opened for an MS assignment. Finishing 2 reports. Folding yet more laundry, sigh. Making hotel reservation for my first ever SQM hotel shop. Stop at Home Depot for a few red pavers for garden walk-way and at Country Boy for a ton of mulch.

I picked up some planters and flowerpots from a Freecycle donor yesterday. Now I have to find plants to fill them.

Today is homework, then volunteering at the food bank.

Honny, for a quick, bright, display, I suggest getting a lot of portulaca. Many of this year's plants will actually return as "volunteers" next spring, even though they are supposedly only annuals. That makes then well worth the price, AND by now they may well be on sale in 6 packs.

Glad to see that you have decided to push yourself for the semester's work; I didn't want to have to come down that way to give you a shove in that direction. lol Surely that degree must be very close now?

wales, lol, I graduate next May! With the end in sight, you would think that I would be full steam ahead, but I'm getting burned out.

Whoa girl! I KNOW that feeling, having dragged my feet the last 100 yards to my terminal degree, lol. As I recall, I read one Agatha Christie mystery every morning for nearly a month to avoid finalizing the dissertation.

I found Robert Parker mid-bachelor's degree. I found someone else (forget which author) during the next degree. That one swayed my decision to finish the degree and do other things. But you, HonnyBrown, student and gardener extraordinaire, will do... whatever! grinning smiley

honny, as we told my daughter in her Masters program, the second one, "JUST DO IT"....and as she told me when I starting learning the computer and wanted to work, "JUST DO IT".....simple but great advice, so my dear,
I say to you, "JUST DO IT:, the rewards will be amazing, and your so smart...smiling smiley

I signed up to be a Lime Juicer (scooter charging). No Bird scooters here yet, but the biggest concentration of Lime hubs in the city is at my roommate's work site. Making a few bucks while I sleep seems like a reasonable addition to my work strategy.
Thank you for the support everyone! I truly appreciate it. I'm back on track.

Great to hear Honny. Burn out can be very hard to figure out how to get past when you have an important goal to accomplish. Sometimes we just gotta dig deep and make up our minds to do it no matter what.

Today I'm doing housework and laundry inbetween phone shops. And of course playing computer games since I get to be home instead of running all over the state.

Right now I'm googling chicken and rice recipes looking for something new.

I finished my set of three in-home window estimate shops yesterday. Now just have to wait to see if the companies follow up before I can submit the reports. The house kind of needs new windows, and listening to the sales reps intrigued me enough that I want to go to the library and read Consumer Reports to find out what companies they consider the best.

Other than that I will go to the gym. Maybe hit the thrift shops to see if I can find some shorts for myself.

I am waiting for a home delivery of some meds. Since my car is still in the shop I getting them delveryed. Cool right. I am waiting for the rain to stop
Busy day here. Wide open spaces, a little work, a little more work, and a few errands. Scientifically, the temperatures were in the 70s. Personally, I thought I had taken a wrong turn and entered hell. That is too hot for me. Bleh .So I distracted myself with observations about changes in the wide open spaces: some green, some critters, and some tourists.

I spent the day cleaning out the garage and getting it set up for a garage sale tomorrow. I have one every year. IDK how in the world I have enough stuff to support a yearly garage sale (I have 8 folding tables-the long ones- and they are usually all filled up). I guess it's the fact that there are 4 kids in the household....yikes.

Oh, and I don't mind garage sales. I get to meet people and talk to people. I know that I can donate my stuff for a tax deduction, but garage sale is cash in hand that day. We almost always go out to eat with some of the money after garage sale day. Whatever is left over on Saturday afternoon, I take to the donation center
Helping the hubby to choose the date for his next fishing trip. Depending upon the site he chooses, I will get inspiration, read, work out, hike, do nails, or sleep while he fishes. It is always efficient and sometimes scenic.
